Plumes of black smoke clotted the forest and the retreating orc's cries of fear could be heard coming from within the cloud.
Shrieks of terror snarled from the haze of darkness that steamrolled the forest in a plague-wrought storm. Oncoming doom, impending death. Beyond the darkness the orc's bodies fell to the ground one by one. Many were still caught in the whirls of battle, their attention far from the reign of death soon to befall them.
Some stood idle for a moment, their eyes on the reckoning before seeing the mass of destruction.
Christa seemed as though she immediately recognized the smoke and with a frozen gasp she ushered everyone to flee.
"RUN. EVERYONE, INSIDE THE TEMPLE. THAT THING WILL KILL YOU BEFORE YOU CAN BLINK."
Another glance over her shoulder fed the fear that swelled in her chest. The shadowed cloud circled its prey around the many gargoyle pillars guarding the temple as it chased Christa and the others by the heels. The tsunami of darkness rose higher than the treeline. Christa tried to round up a few stragglers. Heavy heartbeats pounded in her ears as her thundering steps were shockwaves to her already aching body. The blonde veteran was the last one through the mouth of the cavelike entrance. Her eyes opened and blinked, adapting to the absent light, as she saw what the others would have. Darkness.

While I can't insure your complete survival, you'll at least get the OM for the words you've been working on and I'll give it my best shot to make it fair for you and the other participants. So while you may receive a hefty penalty, it still shows me you have the drive to continue with the quest.[/spoiler]
So far I am very impressed with how well everyone's fight / Orc raid posts came out. Awesome job everyone. Keep it up! The next thread you won't want to miss, it'll be really awesome and I'm not just saying that. Good luck everyone !
