1. Every source I've seen only refers to them stealing love, and they can still steal love from captives, as demonstrated here. I mean being captive doesn't stop someone from having love, it's just not directed at their captors.

2. According to a tweet from one of the writers, the Changeling was Matilda's friend and is even sitting on Matilda's side of wedding. However, it's ridiculously hard to find this damn tweet. Wasted way too time trying to dig it up. x.x

3. Well, if we disregard the second point, then yeah, he could have. But then again, I'm only asking questions to help you come up with a history for your character. xD
