"I'm what Grandpa used to call "Fresh off the boat." Yoshida wasn't an immigrant himself, but the son of one...He continued on when the Hippogriff seemed to show no real patience for that line of conversation. "Why the cutbacks? I was always of the mind that a library was, well, an important institution. " Glen shrugged, looking around at...well, not exactly the most fervent crowd. "Honestly? It's like any other business. Not enough people, you either cut back or you go broke. What did you even need to know that was so damn important?" Olympus gestured a bit around him. "As I said, Fresh off the boat. I want to learn about this world further, before I can do what I was put here to do." Glen leaned in. "And what the hell would that be?" Olympus looked her dead in the eyes, met with his own plastic red visor-eyes, a serious note in his voice. "To protect the innocent, and strike at injustice wherever I can find it." This was met with a loud "Snrk" from Glen. Was this asshole serious? He looked like a bug and he was going to be this big hero? "I have some comic books over in the back if you need them."
