But I will say your question makes me curious as to what specific angle this happened in? "It kind of depends."/ "is this a repeated behavior?"
Some people will laugh at jokes that aren't funny for societal and social cohesion. Other people just have strange / dark senses of humor. It is also about execution and delivery of a joke, or said thing.
Women will laugh more around a guy they like or find attractive as well.
