Daaaang, if there's one thing y'all are good at, it's giving out advice. Just reading through everyone's replies has reinvigorated that spark in me to write with Jon a little, and that's some amazing shit, yo 
I think Jon could still stick for a little while - it may take a bit before I regain that complete attraction to him as a character once more, but I guess things like this are just processes that every writer goes through now and then, and I don't believe I'm an exception.
