Magneto enters the Omniverse

For melee characters i was thinking the shield can be destroyed by a proper attack ? ( meaning a stab with a knife wont do it but a powerful punch or attack with a sword is able to shatter the shield ) seeing as it will probably work with my def stat.

I appreciate your input in this because i find it hard to balance this.
