Welcome to Ambrosia!
#12
Frivolous typing and clacking sounds filled the halls of the mansion. After a long pause, Molly's narrowed eyes were pulled from the screen by a sigh. "Ugh. I can't even find him by hacking the cameras... He must be out of sight, or in a verse that doesn't have a lot of technology. "Pale Moors, Vastly.. But I would have seen him on the entrance cams, that leaves just the Ashen Steps and Camelot."

On her monitor, a beautifully displayed virtual map colored the reflection of her eyes. "Humph. You idiot Gildarts. You better not have been banished."

An epic orc battle was about to ensue, an invasion of mass destruction, and Molly was clacking keys. She hadn't eaten in hours, but her worry staved off the hunger and her mind didn't wander from the task at hand.

Click click..

"Hmmm... What's this?" Something sparked the girl's interest on the Omniverse News Network. Usually she got her information from more reliable and less biased sources, but there was something mentioned about Camelot, and well, Molly had an inkling of curiously.

The link was tapped and a burst of color flared on the screen. A scene of an ancient stadium zoomed in from an arial view before swooping in on a massive battle scene. The scope of the gore spread in every direction as the camera panned across the battlefield spilt with blood and filled with gladiators.

"...Primes from Dante's Abyss have been reported to be participating in this tournament..." The female newscaster said in a charming voice that had a low, inclining tone.

Molly clicked to zoom-in and froze the frame over the woman's shoulder, the pixels revealed color splotches of red hair and a black cloak, laying motionless on the ground. The little girl gasped and threw a concerned hand up to her mouth, "It can't be!" Still motionless he lay as though in an eternal slumber. She was sure it was Gildarts due to the sticking out silver gleam she glimpses at from the parting of his cloak, but she didn't want to believe the Prime was dead.

Didn't Prime's resemble Omnilium when they died? Or revive in the Nexus? What was taking him so long? Molly's eyes glued to the screen, hot from tireless use and warm light beneath the glass. "Come on.. Come on..." Molly waited an hour and watched the worst advertisements imaginable and still there was no motion. She minimized the window on her computer by a simple press of her white mouse and knelt her body into a crumpled ball. The girl felt pain grieve in her heart.

Was she to tell the Princess? Guu would want to know, and yet... The doubt traced in Molly's mind, etching lines of painful memory in every vacant tomb. No, she couldn't tell Guu, not with the orcs, and not when the girl couldn't be sure. She could only wait. This, was slow agony, and tantalizing torture.

The young girl sat in her pink room, hovering with her knees together in her arms on that one desk chair. In her hand, a phone, as she clicked to check her inbox that read: "No new messages."

Molly could only stay inside and ensure she wouldn't be a liability, but Sylvia who had run to the restroom had left a good opening for Molly to escape. The thought tempted the girl, but her heart wasn't into being mischievous with all this strife going around. The best she could do was support from the sidelines, that's what being a secondary meant here. That's what being powerless meant here. Perhaps that was why she had been so drawn to Gildarts, a man who simply at the touch of something, could cause a town to crumble to the ground. He created oblivion. So why couldn't she?
