It was... It was in her head. The black-skinned man had gone inside her head and woken her up. How... Why... Cat was stunned and scared, hiding in a corner. Well, as much of a corner as she could be in the sphere. The creature was still in her mind, she could tell. It was like a subtle hand was tweaking things, keeping the fear at bay. Cat watched it nervously, trying to persuade herself that he wasn't intruding in her mind to harm her, that he really was there to help. Peace... I can do that... But.. Am I really safe? How do I know you won't try to eat me or something...?
The black creature wanted to know who she was, as well as the other man. They must not have been working together like she thought. Silently, Cat stayed hidden inside her blue bubble as the other man gave an answer, tears starting to drip down her cheeks.
who even am I... Where am I from? Do I have a family? How old am I? When and where was I born? Was I even born? Is this what I'm even supposed to look like? What am I? How do I use this blue thing? Why can I use it?
As more and more questions came up without answers Cat began to sob agian, the blue wall beginning to dissipate and the feeling of safety with it. What if she didn't have a home? Or a family? What if she wasn't even real? Was any of this real? Was she dead? Were they all dead? Maybe this was some kind of abstract afterlife? Cat choked on her tears, shrinking into herself and no longer calmed by the black creature's influence.
