The Shadow Over Costa Del Sol (Open)
#4
Nealaphh had found its way to a market that appeared to be suitable for its needs. Better still, there was very little Imperial presence here, which made it trivial to navigate the crowded lanes with impunity. The people of the market gave Nealaphh a wide berth, thanks to the official uniform it wore, which made it easy to see the merchandise being sold without an inhibited view. As Nealaphh slowly strode through the bazaar, it was also plucking scraps of local information from the minds of various passers-by.

All at once, a young woman with shock-pink hair. She immediately began blubbering something about being lost and not knowing where she was. Irritating, but more importantly, it was drawing attention. Several civilians had paused in their shopping to watch the scene unfold. Nealaphh could hear what their expectations were...they were expecting the shadow to verbally accost the girl, perhaps even arrest her. This was problematic, in that Nealaphh could not speak directly to other denizens. Thinking quickly, Nealaphh grabbed the girl harshly by the shoulder and spun her around, clapping a high-tech pair of handcuffs around her wrists. She almost immediately broke down into panicked tears, and the crowd began to jeer and heckle Nealaphh for its actions. This didn't matter to the god-mind, for at least it now had an opportunity to get out of sight. Pressing the tip of the blaster rifle into the small of her back, Nealaphh escorted her away from the market without uttering a single word.

After a short distance of walking, Nealaphh happened upon an empty bungalo of some sorts that had a view of the ocean. The door was locked, but with a quick mental sleight of hand, the door swung open on its own. Nealaphh shoved Kat into the dimly lit beach house before closing the door with a telekinetic tug.

Now the god-mind had the problem of dealing with this young woman. It did not want to harm her if it could be helped, but it was important that no one knew of Nealaphh's presence in Costa Del Sol...

Little did Nealaphh know, however, that it had been followed by an unseen observer...
And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
