Awaken the Keepless
#11
Keepless helped cut out the fused plates on some of the gorons and patched some of the tents with his own omnillium throughout the night that the Ashen sun was able to catch up with them, filling the vast wasteland with orange light. As soon as the last goron was patched up and ready, the troupe began packing for the coming trip. Observing each and everyone of them doing their specific roles, Keepless reminded himelf of his specific mission. How will he retrace his steps if he is technically lost?

Looking at the dull gray sky, the machine kept repeating the question inside his head, trying to find a solution to this very problem when the shadow figure talked to him inviting him to join them for the time being.

"I...will go with you, for now." Keepless took on the shadow's offer, choosing to walk rather than mounting on a beast of labor. He believes he is faster that way. Pondering on the things that had happened that night and after his reactivation, Keepless had decided that joining a group will help him recalibrate his bearings and also possibly encounter infections along the way. Based on the troupe's equipment, his conclusion was that they were doing some form of ore retrieval, mining. Mining for what, Keepless has to ask that himself. "Allow me to inquire about your activities," Keepless asks one of the Gorons on the group's perimeter. "Uh...we mine ores, " the goron replied. "That was my conclusion based on the equipment you carry. What exactly is it you are mining?" the machine asked to which the goron replied "Metals." Keepless thought that this particular goron wasn't talkative enough but he was fine with that much information.

Metals, general and vague, yet enough to interest Keepless in helping them. Keepless was capable of detecting metals since most of the infected are metallic in structure. This'll be helpful if Keepless plans to reconfigure his scanners after suspecting that they lacked in recalibration. Keepless jogged back to the side of the black form that tore the wyrm to pieces, trying to pull on its attention. "I seem to have neglected the standard pattern of conversations. I have not ask your name, if you have one. If you do not mind, will you tell me?" the machine being attempts to ask politely.

"Also, I have heard that you are here to mine, I would like to help. You see, near where I woke up is a tunnel of lava that leads deep underground, I know since when I woke up, I had to scan my immediate surroundings. It is quite possible that there are veins of metals like copper, nickel and even silver underneath. I am 93% sure. If not, we may proceed. Do take note there are no shallow veins within the fifty kilometer radius," the machine reported his findings from when he just woke up the other day, pointing at the direction they walked on as they trailed into camp that night.
