It only took a few minutes for Dean to decided where to go, the Endless Dunes. The reason for this was very simple. The gateway to the Dunes, according to trooper, was the closest one to his current location. At least it was the closest one that seemed interesting. Of the two choices the Ashen Steppes just seemed like a dumb down version of hell, and Dean had already been to hell and back.
The walk would also give Dean time to think about what to do. Right now the only plans he had were to go to a place and then blow off steam. He hadn't been a demon for very long and still felt very Dean like so blowing off steam right now meant finding a hole in the wall bar and drinking until the sun goes down and then comes back up again. Dean started to wonder if there would even be a bar in any of these places. There had better be, the alternative would probably be bloody, violent, and short lived.
As he walked he briefly thought about what Sammy would think of this situation. That nerd would be asking everyone and everything questions, trying to do research. Shaking the thought from his head Dean continued towards his destination. He had to put Sam out of his mind. He had to forget all of them. This was Deans' time to shine and he was going to cut a piece of this world for himself. That Omni creep had told him that anything was possible and Dean was going to test this.
Dean toyed with the idea of summoning a vehicle but the distance he was travelling was not worth the effort. In fact it would be pointless as it seemed like his destination was getting closer and closer. Off in the distance he was able to make out another gate. The closer he got to it the more detail he could make out. Unlike the one he had just left this one was not made of metal, but instead it seemed to be stone. This gate looks like it has stood the test of time, as a lot of the surface was worn away or even eroded.
