Guu made a call to Sylvia, informing her that she’s at the Tangled gate that she should bring three chocobos along with her. The trio snack on Mochi Ice Cream (or mostly just Molly) and chitchat as they wait for their rides.
“So Desco is with her dad?” Carn asked.
“Yep, she’ll be along when she’s done with whatever he’s doing.”
It stung her a little bit to be reminded, still regretful for leaving poor Desco behind in that frightful place. She still had a twinge of fear that her friend maybe in pain at the hands of a madman. Thankfully, an inquisitive Molly quickly broke up her thoughts.
“Um, so, who’s Desco?” Butted in Molly, curious.
“Oh, she’s my best friend, in the omniverse at least.” Guu responded promptly. “She’s a demon.”
Molly’s eyes widened. Noting the girl’s response, Guu pulled out her cell phone and showed her a picture. The sight of a cheerful little girl younger than herself relieved much of her fears.
“She’s nine btw.” The pink princess added.
“Wow, I never expected a demon to look like that!” Molly said, amused.
“Well, I tend to attract the unique. Even our demon is unique. Wait until you two see the Kingdom. It’s great.”
Suddenly, a teenage gothic girl riding a giant bird appeared around the bend pulling along several other giant birds. She spots Guu and smiles, double-timing her pace.
As soon as she was close, she dismounted her bird and immediately ran up to the pink-haired princess, kneeling down to give her a big ol’ hug. She did not even hesitate to reciprocate the hug leaving both Molly and Carn a bit surprised at the tender moment considering how the pink one has portrayed herself thus far. Sylvia eventually pulled away. And looked her in the eyes.
“It’s been too long Guu.” The gothic second in command said.
“Yes, it has.” The pink princess responded, a little bit of a small genuine smile escaped her dull visage. Sylvia stood up and straightened herself out, turning her attention to the other two.
“So who are they? I was expecting Desco and Gildarts.”
“Oh, the little one is Molly, she’s the little girl I mentioned in the e-mail.” Guu said plainly.
“Oh! The friend of Gildarts! And the other?”
“That’s Carn, he’s an acquaintance from the DA pre-show.”
“Well, if the Princess welcomes you, then I welcome you. Come along, I brought mounts.”
The four climb on their chocobo. Guu stretched her way onto her noble steed, Scoots. Molly had to be helped onto her’s; mentioning the oddity of riding a funny chicken. Togther, they ride off to the south.
After a while, the city comes into view. As they rode towards main street, Guu couldn’t help but feel a warm sense of familiarity as she could see the old rustic buildings which contrasted starkly with it’s tech-savvy and unusual people.
She was home.
As she rode into town, she immediately noted some new faces. It appears a lot of new animal humanoids have moved in. They have doubled, maybe even tripled in population since she last was here.
She also noticed that one of the buildings had burned down. It was out of sight of the other two; she only picked it up because of her senses. She decided not to ask, as it would spoiled the moment and would have scared her new guests.
As they got further into town, people start to notice the presence of their princess. One by one, they dropped what they were doing and slowly, they formed an every increasing crowd, each on cheering her name, overjoyed to see their Guu once more.
Eventually, Guu stopped her chocobo and dismounted. The other three quickly followed. The Pink princess did a polite curtsie for the crowd, who broke into a loud cheer.
“I’ve missed you all, I’m so glad to be home.” She said with a small smile. “The dark one is Carn, the young one is Molly. Treat them like members of the village for they are friends. With that said, long live Ambrosia!”
The town yelled out with good feelings and cheer, as the warm feeling encompassed her entire body, he face grew scarlet. People, animals, and moogles move in to greet Carn and Molly, overjoyed to meet the new visitors. She was happy to be with her people again. It’s been too long.
