Millie glowered at the large man looming over her. She wasn't sure how to feel being threatened by some cat-eyed dude dressed like a retired gay pirate. She kept the gun pointed towards him, but the end of the barrel stirred the air constantly, her arms weak from blood loss, for starters. Millie squinted at Behemoth, but she felt her eyes getting heavy. She fought against the encroaching slumber, unsure if it was from weakness, the monster, or something...this guy was doing. All she knew was that...she might die soon. Her eyes flicked open for one more moment, shooting directly into Behemoth's dilated slit pupils.
"Just...just help me..." she pleaded, her voice barely audible over the ambient roaring of the tide which constantly crashed against the cave walls. Her arm and head slowly sank back down to the cold stone, and her breaths came in shallow, ragged gasps. When she didn't immediately sit up a few moments later, it was evident that this particular spell of unconsciousness was borne of fatigue, not any sort of intrusive mental entity grabbing hold of her body against. Behemoth smirked to himself. That meant that both Millie and the thrall were weakened.
Despite his penchant for villainy, Behemoth was not one to leave a vulnerable girl simply sprawled out on a cave floor, so with heavy handedness, he plopped her back onto the aging couch, where she promptly slumped over onto one of the arm rests. Well. It was something. The girl had given him permission, so Behemoth wasted no more time plunging into the young woman's slumbering mind.
...he could feel the thrall all around him. It infested almost every nook and cranny of the girl's mind, like an invasive mold that refused to die. There was no sign of Millie, as Behemoth swiftly learned the girl's name to be. Sifting through the hazy places in her mind where two sets of memories collided, the psychic fiend found strange string of thoughts, that seemed to be innocuous at first. Plying at this strand brought him to a door, beyond which lied the fundamental aspects of Millie's persona. So, this was her safe haven. Her last holdout from this thrall which, oddly, had yet to try and fight his intrusion in any way. But he could feel the thrall-mind watching. At this point, there were two directions he could go...
Behemoth could either try to force his way into Millie's deepest thoughts and pull her out of her own mind, or, he could take on the much larger task of trying to pull this all-pervasive alien psyche from her once and for all...

And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
