There were no demons or angry soldiers ahead of me, but when I felt the sea breeze across my unhelmted face I felt just about as safe. Once again pulled in from else where, only a set of green swimming shorts with the USSMC logo clothed me and let my well tones (and horribly scared) body for the world to see. You would think I would be far more upset about, but the serenic scene a pumping music gave me an impression of peace and I simply let it go to relax and let the stress melt away.
Or maybe it because of whatever mental magic Omni used to skullfuck us into submissiveness.
"Fuck it, whatever" I told myself, and went with the flow. Don't waste a perfectly good party. Or medkits, but that's a different discussion. I took patrol down the length of the beach until I reached a perfect good spot near the water and staked a claim with a recently summoned cooler and towel.
Happy with the set up, I walked to where the heaven smell of burgers and hot dogs waffed across the beach and headed there with the single minded mission to eat my weight in real american food.
