Desco turns towards Guu.
“You’re leaving so soon?” She asked somewhat disappointed. Guu outstretched her arms and pulled the demon child in for a hug. Her disappointed look switched to a smile upon contact with her best friend.
“Not for too long, I promise.” The pink-haired one said comfortingly. She pulled away to look her in the eyes. “I just need to get back to my people.”
She shaped a hand and rested it on the side of her face. The demon child giggled at the contact.
“Fate keeps bringing us together.” She said with a gentle smile. “Won’t be long until it drives us together again.”
With that, Guu turns to face Genjuro, looking him directly him in the eyes. He felt a chill down his spine, a sensation he enjoyed quite a bit as it sparked his curiousity.
“Genjuro, was it?” She stated, a stern look in her face. She stretches an arm to awkwardly rest on his face, too. “Don’t do anything you’d regret.”
He stifled a laugh at the prospect of being this small child’s mortal enemy. Not that he was underestimating her, but the prospect was a funny concept, such a small person being a threat to all your plans.
He had read up on Guu before she arrived. She was such a unique blend of cute and terrifying. She kind of reminded him of Desco in that regard. He couldn’t even create or more perfect playmate for her.
He walked over and placed a hand on top of the pink haired covered dome. She is forced to look up in order to maintain the intimidating glare.
“Do not worry, Guu. I won’t do anything my little girl can’t handle.”
But Guu wasn’t 100% satisfied with that response. She knew her friend could take a lot of punishment, and she was very gullible. She wasn’t sure if she could trust this man not to hurt the demon child. She turned to her.
“Please be safe.” She requested, but Desco only responded with a smile.
“Desco is with daddy! Don’t worry so much.”
“Well, okay…” She said reluctantly, pausing a bit before continuing. “When you are done here, come to the tangled. Give me a call and I’ll take you to Ambrosia.”
“Okay Guu!” She said pleasantly. Guu moved in for another hug. She whispered into the demon child’s ear:
“I hope you know you’re like a little sister to me. I love you, Desco.”
The little one nodded, her face red and a smile mile-wide across her face. Guu herself was red scarlet from the blunt raw emotion and started to immediately head for the exit. Down the way she came, desperately trying to not to face the trio to hide her red cheeks. She waved an arm.
“Good bye” She called back.
“Bye Guu!” yelled the demon child.
Despite wanting to go alone, DesX escorted her out. Her paranoia sparked as she feared it was to keep her from finding something else incriminating. Her fear for Desco’s wellbeing occupied her thoughts and kept her from talking, creating a long, awkward walk back to the building’s entrance. Out in front, there was a convenient cab waiting. Guu figured Genjuro must have called this one. As she climbed into the vehicle, DesX finally spoke up.
”If you fear for Desco, don’t.” She stated, causing the pink princess to look up from her backseat throne. ”Desco loves her daddy, and she loves it here. She’ll be fine.”
Guu didn’t respond, she just silently typed in her destination into the screen in front of her and the cab took off into the sky, leaving the lab behind her. It was time for her to go home…
Little did she know, that she would be in for another detour…
