Mind Games [Behemoth and Millie]
#6
"I-I-I don't know. I don't know...I can't remember..." Millie said with a heaving breath. She tried to meet the dark man's gaze, but every time here eyes locked with those reptilian apertures, she looked away in panic. Why had the Omniverse suddenly turned on her like this? She had never experienced any sort of danger growing up in Costa del Sol, it was a nice city, with nice beaches. But now, here she was in some dank cave with some...fucked up head case asking her about demons? Not to mention her clothes...Millie's hands tightened into balls, her nails scratching with faint screeches along the decrepit leather. One emotion surged more than others right now; vulnerability. This guy was talking about her, what, losing her mind? But what was it to him? He had kidnapped her and dragged her into his...ghosty pirate den? Oh god...she had no idea what was going to happen. Again her eyes flicked over to the revolver. She knew how to use a blaster pistol; her cousin who was in the Empire's navy had showed her a few years ago. If the gun was loaded, maybe...maybe it would work the same way. But then where would she be? She had no idea where she was in relation to Costa del Sol, and she didn't even know how to get out of these caves. And then...there was whatever was happening to her...

"...can you fix me?" she asked, her voice nary a whisper. Her eyes finally met his with a solid plea for mercy. They held within them a mammalian allure that simmered beneath the salt-stained haggardness that bedecked the whites of her eyes. What the man said...sort of made sense? She knew that there was something in her head that was making her lose control of her body, but beyond that, she honestly couldn't remember any details of what was going on. But she felt she did know, somewhere, more than she could recall right now. How was that possible? It all started to become too much again, and the girl began to weep softly, a soft, chuffing sound accompanied only by squinting eyes and a mouth that refused to stay shut...
And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
