This question is going a bit meta (and I'm not sure if it's quick & easy):
Suppose that I use an encryption method to encrypt plaintext (e.g. a secret message I send to a pal), after finding some IC way to share the key with them. Then messages like letters or Dataverse posts are exchanged in encrypted format. For obvious reasons this encryption method doesn't add/remove any symbols, and to verify that we're not gaming the system the key is confidentially shared with staff so they can verify this at any given time.
Would something like this be permissible for us crazy people who want to go all hardcore-secrecy with our evil plans to take over the world? If it's too much of a pain (I can see why it would be), would it work to put the encrypted IC message into quotes?
