To Hellboy and Back [Complete]
#6
She needed to get away from the other two. Ever since she became ambassador of the monsters, she felt like much of her life now is just keeping everyone from killing each other. It was so much easier when everyone was just focused on killing her, it was easier to keep everyone alive that way. Of course, that fact was way more depressing when compiled into a concise thought.

She felt bad for the way she was treating everyone, but the way Vision was acting was kind of scary. Making broad assumptions like that, she was having horrible memories of Princess Bonbon Sunshine, the horrible things she’d do because she thought she understood the world from a glance. It wasn’t something she would let her friends slide passed her without reprimand, not while she had some shred of morality left.

Dolly’s Datacatessen quickly came into view, honestly, she didn’t expect to find it, she was actually looking for the nearest restroom and just kind of stumbled on it. It was a small little shop squeezed between a nostalgia heavy leather diner and a fedex run by bird people.

She passed through the store’s portal which herald her arrival with a chime. A bored looking red headed lady sat at the front counter, inconspicuously holding a magazine to her face that was titled “Avoid Eye Contact Monthly.” But as the little girl approached, she tossed the paper to the counter passive aggressively and gave Frisk a smile only a serial killer would give.

“Why hello there! So nice of you come in three minutes before lunch break!” She side, grinding her teeth between words.

“Oh, I didn’t know my timing was so bad, I’ll come back.” Frisk said, it was lucky that came to mind, she was prepared to say anything to get out of what was an immediately confrontational situation. However, the woman was quick to shoot that down.

“Just get it over with. What do you want?”

Frisk, her every muscle wanting to run, placed a piece of paper on the counter, scribbled on it were the names: “Marcus Wright” and “Captain America.”

“I-I just want to know the whereabouts of these two.”

The lady looked it over briefly before putting it in a small slot in the wall.

“We got two location cases, get on it, Yellow.”

A banana colored claw slipped through the hole and snatched the paper. The lady returned to her post and proceeded to glare down on Frisk, who is getting more and more nervous. She would look for anything to break the ice, but all the walls were bare. She eventually settled on the lady’s name tag.

“Taco Skirt?” She said quizzically. “That’s an unusual name.”

The woman’s face contorts into a horrific grimace, one that Frisk compulsive took two steps back from just from the mere sight of it.

“Why is this customer trYING TO TALK TO ME ON THE JOB? Is she trying to GET ME FIRED?”

Frisk took another two steps back, she decided not to say anything else.

Suddenly, a ding could be heard from the back and a big pile of paper slides through the slot in the wall. The woman grabbed it and looked over the front page.

“Well, you’re lucky. You’re friends Rando Le Terz, some small island, the coords are on the paper. Probably should get to them soon, only found them so quickly because they are making a lot of noise over there.” She handed the bundle to Frisk, whose hands barely could wrap around em. “We’ve also printed up background info on your comrades as a complementary thing.”

“Oh wow, thank you very mu-”

“Why is this little girl stILL TALKING TO ME?” The woman yelled. Frisk quickly dumped a bunch of Omnilium coins on the counter and hustled out the door.

The woman groaned grumpily as she headed for the door that leads into the back

“Hey Yellow, make us some ramen, and put on Kissy Cutie again, I need a break from this shit.”

After stopping by the diner to go the bathroom, as well as summon new underwear as the recent experience had ruined the current ones, she headed for the place she left Hellboy and Vision, looking through the papers as she strolled.

“So Marcus is a cybernetic android and the Captain is a genetically modified human. Quite the colorful group. I see it was quite the sausage party before mom and I joined up.” She said out loud.

She had a twinge of pain upon realizing she knows the term “Sausage Party” at her age. She almost went into another angst about her loss of innocence, but then she realized that Vision and Hellboy were nowhere near where she last saw them.

“Ugh, can’t leave them alone for a second!” She said, followed quickly by a sigh.

She pulled out her soul and used that to track her friends. She started making her way to the Starbucks.
