You're only told what Omni says to you in the introduction. The rest of it you can learn from other NPCs. Secondaries are pretty in the know. You can either roleplay finding stuff out gradually or just be like "yeah I met some old dude in a bar and he explained the situation after I kept summoning him beers."
Triforce being literally part of your characters, I wouldn't make it an artifact. It's too closely tied to the story. The ring, I'd leave up to Frodo to decide. As said in Items: "Bear in mind that 'items' like swords, shields, and other character-specific equipment count as Powers and Moves for the purpose of rules." So that could count if Frodo wanted to use the ring for stealth, power-ups or whatever.
