The Thrall Mind watched as Victor and Guu departed once more, seemingly oblivious to her presence. While she had been able to glean some more information on the pair of prines before they ran off, she still didn't have the answer she wanted. The thrall was about to follow the two of them, but Millie suddenly unleashed a torrent of panicked rage inside their shared brain. Externally, Millie's body slowly sank to its knees, and the girl clutched at her head, eyes bulging.
Inside their mind, the thrall mind and Millie wrestled for control of the girl's body. The thrall was rather surprised that a normal human girl had this sort of tenacity. Millie, in a blind frenzy, surged through her own memories and thoughts, try to establish her identity over top of whatever else it was that was in her head. Unfortunately, while the girl had a strong spirit, she was not familiar with battles of mental fortitude such as these. It was if there was a snake inside her brain, slowly smothering her mind, forcing it into submission.
Every now and then, as the two consciousnesses were entagled, Millie would see flashes of what went on within this other mind. Visions of...stars and stuff...some sort of...bar? There were giant crystal planets and...something about a brown robe. Cats. What was so important about cats?
Outside, Millie suddenly retched up her lunch and coffee onto the cold, clammy food court floor. Now people were starting to stare in shock. Millie rose to her feet, half in control of her body, and tried to stagger towards the crowd.
"Help me..." she muttered. It wasn't audible over the hushed mutterings of her audience. She moved almost as if in a dream. Her shoulders were raised and her head was slung low. Bleary, bloodshot eyes looked out from under her sweat-stained bangs, desperate...yet furious. Millie tried to explain what was happening, but the thrall fought against her words, and all she could produce was a gurgling string of incoherent babble. People kept a distance between her and themselves, unsure of the girl was sane or not.
Clearly, the answer was 'not'.
Millie leaned against a large concrete pillar, its square sides bedecked in ceramic tiles and brass filigree. Inside her head, the thrall surged against Millie's mind like a dark tide, trying to force her back under. No...no! She could not let it get control again! With bile-soaked hands, she gripped the square pillar with a berserker grip and smashed her head into the side.
"No!"
Inside her mind, it was like someone had just flashed a camera in her eyes, but the thrall was stunned too. The thrall tried to hold her body in place; despite the fact that it was a parasite, this girl was going to kill herself if she kept up this kind of desperation...and that just didn't help anyone.
In the outer world, a Syntex guardsman was trying to get her attention.
"Ma'ame? Ma'ame! What's happening?!" he shouted, a stun baton held tightly in his gloved hands. Millie seemed to be frozen in place, stiff as a rock.
"Nnnnneeeuuuoooooooohhh!" she howled, and began smashing her face into the hardened ceramics once more. She could feel the thrall mind being shaken loose! She was winning!"
"Aheah! Ah hah hah hah hah haaaaaughh!" the young woman laughed. By now, splatters of blood were bursting from her smashed forehead skin with each brutal face slam. The Syntex guard moved and and tried to pin her arms, pulling her away from the now-red pillar. Inside her mental struggle, all Millie could feel was that she couldn't control her body again. She screamed and thrashed around, shouting incoherent obscenities as two more Syntex guards rushed in to help restrain her.
"Hhheeeeelpp Meeeeeeeeaaaaaggh!" she wailed, the forlorn scream echoing throughout the entire pre-show lobby. With that, one of the burly Syntex guards drove her stun baton into Millie's side, sending the girl into convulsions. She let out one more gut-wrenching scream before going limp, a blissful smile on her crimson streaked face...

And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
