Adam watched from afar.
Even knowing her plan, Adam had advised against it. The game was evil, even the facility was a dangerous place. And she’d been trapped, forced to compete. For what reason? He watched her now, and if tears could have spilled down his face, they would have. But all he could do was watch, uselessly, as his one remaining responsibility in the world fell before her darkest impulses. He’d seen this side of Samus before. Somewhere trapped between suicidal and genocidal. Was this what Omni had seen in her? Was this what he had wanted to see?
He turned away. Nothing could stop her now.
