About the Author: Why this character?

I saw this place, saw how serious (emo) a lot of characters were, ('cause the first ones I saw chatting were Retane, Sasuke, Okor, Vincent, etc.)

I actually don't really play Vincent as emo as he is in FFVII. He still has some baggage, but he's mostly just homesick. At the end of the FFVII canon (where I pulled Vincent) he 'forgave' himself and became less brooding. He even has an adopted 'child' and keeps in touch with his AVALANCHE buds. He still looks like he loves the Cure, but he's not big on appearances. =P

I chose Vincent because he had a good amount of emotional depth and I just like his backstory. Love, loss, and eventual redemption. He's darker than a stereotypical hero (I'LL FIGHT FOR WHAT IS RIGHT = boring) but not as ambivalent as the typical antihero despite all the fucked up stuff that's happened to him. He lives his life for those he cares for, because it's all he knows.
