Millie clutched her head as the rode the slow escalator to the top level of the Dante's Abyss Lobby. What had happened back there? She had known that the Omniverse could be a dangerous place, but she had also always been told that as long as she stayed in large crowds and out of the shadier places of the Omniverse, she would be fine. She had gone her entire life on Costa Del Sol without ever having seen a prime, but it seemed as though, just a few seconds ago she had...become one? But it wasn't right....she didn't have control of herself. It was if a giant heavy blanket had fallen over her mind, and she couldn't get out from under it.
When her friends had brought up the idea of visiting Dante's Abyss a week ago, she had been excited to go an potentially see some real life primes up close and personal. Before the games had started she was even able to gawk at her biggest prime crush, Gilgamesh, before they had all been shuffled into the barracks. Now...now it seemed like a bad idea. Millie looked back down at the Lobby floor at all the people milling about, and one in particular stood out. It was a figure robed in black, and it had...three eyes? One was out of place, giving it a very creepy appearance. The young woman couldn't understand why, but she felt some sort of connection with this figure.
Suddenly, it felt as though her guts fell out of her abdomen. She clutched her head harder and suppressed retching up her iced coffee. Oh Omni...what was happening to her? Millie began to emit a low, pained groan, and slowly sank to the cool metal floor of the escalator. Inside she was screaming again, but her body wouldn't move. Outside, people were talking to her...
"Hey! Hey are you okay!" an older man asked. He bent down and clasped her hand, slowly helping Millie to her feet. A strange, distant look came over Millie's face, and she suddenly stood up straight, her eyes snapping down to a large man on the floor far below.
"Yes. I am fine." she said in a flat tone. Without a moment of further hesitation, Millie began walking down the upwards moving escalator with a purposeful look on her face. Upon reaching the Lobby floor, she once again moved next to Behemoth and the long-eared man he was talking to. The mind that now occupied her thoughts attempted to find a way into the conversation.
"Hi Jak!" the young woman said, her tone exuberant yet slightly...off.
"I am such a fan! I had a lot of money on you and your ears making it farther!" Millie said, beaming at the Mar man...

And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
