Continued from DA

Guu appeared in the lobby where she was suddenly was standing amongst a bunch of employees, hard at task at whatever they were doing and paying no attention to the scorched little girl wearing nothing but her underwear. She was at first confused at the odd nonchalant nature of the other people there but she figured nothing could surprise them anymore.

She felt around her neck to see if the collar was still there and was relieved to see it suddenly missing. With a flash of her magic, a new set of clothing appeared on her body. She could feel it rubbing a bit against her burn wounds, which only reminded her that the trip didn’t fix her up at all.

She reached into her stomach and searched around for her phone, which it finally dawned on her.

“Dammit, I had it in my bag.” She said aggravated.

Focusing, she thought about her phone, how it had all her contacts on it, particularly Sylvia’s number. The familiar ball of light appeared in front of her, and formed a phone in her hands. She pressed through the apps and onto the contact list. With a breath of relief, all of them were there.

She hit the contact “Sylvia Black” which started to ring her. A voice quickly picked up on the other end.

“Guu?” She said. “I saw you leave DA, I’ll meet you at the Tangled Gate!”

Great. She hoped the people of Ambrosia didn’t get to see her opting out like that. Would they see less of her because of that? She didn’t like the idea. She needed to prepare herself for this.

“Actually, might want to give me a few hours. Allow my burns some time to heal. Prime magic and stuff…” She said, blurting out the first excuse she could think of.

“Ok, well just call me when you are ready go home. I could be down there in 20 minutes as soon as you’re good.”

“Alright. See ya then.”

With that, Guu slid a finger across the screen, ending the call.

She made her way to the spectator area where she took a seat amongst the many rows in front of the screens that displayed the many competitors. She focused herself towards healing.

And hour or so later, she jolted awake. She immediately checked her wounds, which had made slightly more progress in healing. She was used to her OM going off in her sleep, that was how most of her powers came back to her… at least that was her theory, she wouldn’t know, she was asleep at the time.

She got up to look more closely at the screens, curious on how everyone was doing. She saw one green guy, Mickey Mouse, Doom Guy still in the running… however, her heart skipped a beat when she saw a familiar demon girl. She was sobbing her eyes out over something. Guu wished she were there to comfort her, to be with her, a factor that was impossible now. Suddenly, a wave of regret came over her as she motioned to sit back down and stew in her thoughts.
