Spectator Thread
#22
Nealaphh watched silently as the other two marines from the Abyss filed into the spectating area. The god-mind had come to accept that it wold likely be quite some time before Link emerged from where he was being reconstituted, so for the moment it resumed its task of observation and discovery. The Astartes' men all intrigued Nealaphh to a very profound degree, as it seemed their ideals ran very close to those that Nealaphh's Master promoted. While they were clearly highly trained and disciplined, they also relied a great deal on intuition and emotion to drive their actions. Nealaphh had a great appreciation for this kind of thing. Nealaphh considered walking over to them and initiating a conversation, when it felt a another spike in psychic activity within the room.

Looking around, the shadow tried to pinpoint just who it was that was emanating this sort of power. Several new people had entered, but Nealaphh had a hunch it was not any of the other space marines that were emitting this kind of resonance. No one in particular stuck out to Nealaphh, at least, no one who didn't also seem to be a prime. The might be an easier way to locate this source of psychic activity, though. The god-mind sent out a pulse of telepathic power expanding throughout the crowd. Only the most perceptive of minds would be able to detect such a touch upon their consciousness. As expected, Galel Baraz perked up and looked at Nealaphh for a moment as the pulse went out, but Nealaphh also saw a large man with a mustache freeze slightly as the wave hit him. This man was the third psychic here? He didn't look particularly impressive. Nealaphh narrowed his glowing green eyes and stalked closer to Behemoth, the shadow's aura of cold causing many a hair to stand up on the back of people's necks. Was mental power so common within the Omniverse? Nealaphh had anticipated that it was largely unique in this regard, but if so many other people had the capacity for psychic manipulation, Nealaphh would have to work harder on using its mental prowess to affect the Omniverse in ways that these mortal minds could not fathom...
And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
