It took slightly longer than Nealaphh would have cared to admit to find the portal back in to the Nexus. It had ambled around for hours, hiding from Volvagia's young when necessary, looking for its initial entry point. After several hours of trudging through ash and gravel, Nealaphh relented and opened up a map of the Ashen Steppes using its Dataverse device. The god-mind looked around, comparing landmarks visible from its location to those which were near the portal on the map.
One of the perks of having a mind as complex as Nealaphh's was that it was very easy to think in multiple dimensions at once. Using its inuitive ability to orient itself based on visual input, it took Nealaphh only an additional hour to find its way back to the Nexus portal.
Without looking back, god-mind stepped through, ready to stake out this world between worlds for as long as necessary.
Essentially, Nealaphh was in for a lot of binge watching.
