Day One: Part 1

Guu waited until the sun had fully risen and had made quite a bit good progress in the sky. When she started to feel the air get warmer, she turned over to nudge Desco lightly. She blinked awake, looking dazedly up at the pink haired one.

“Good morning.” She said in an almost uncharacteristically pleasant tone.

”Is it morning already?” The demon child asked, yawning a bit before looking up to the blue sky above.

“Yep it is.” The pink princess responded. She moved in an gave her a hug. Desco smiled at the physical contact. “Now go get ready for the day, I’ll go wake Luffy”

She slid off Yogs and onto her feet. As the demon child shifted her demon appendage to look more to it’s usual appearance and scrounge through her bag for some breakfast, Guu strutted over to Luffy. She places both hands gently on his shoulders… and then shakes him violently. He stutters awake.

“Ah! What? What’s going on? What did I do Nami?” Asked straw hat. Guu glared down at him.

”It’s time to wake up. It’s already sun up lazy ass.”

“Oh! For a second I thought you were Nami!”

”Who is… who else could I possibly look like?”

“No no no, not look like! Just the way you woke me up reminded me of her.”

A brief pause as Guu came to terms with the pointless of this conversation. She launched an arm forward and wrapped it around him, lifting him up to his feet.

“Woah ho-ho! That’s definitely something Nami couldn’t do!” Luffy stated while laughing his ass off.

Guu sighed. She used to make stupid people like straw hat suffer as a personal hobby, but now she invites him along as a valued ally. She must really be getting soft. Then again, considering her time in Ambrosia and that tender scene earlier with Desco, it was becoming less and less of a shock to her.

The three prepare some breakfast. Guu, using the skills that Desco granted her from the night before to properly prepare a meal. This time, it was mac and cheese. It was a bit runny and the cheese was a little off, but after the sausage from yesterday, she had become far less picky. This was at least palatable in comparison. Not to mention, the fact that it was runny really helped as she had no utensils and was forced to chug it like a shot glass. Luffy however, was down to the Hershey bar included in his last MRE.

”I thought we told you to converve.” Guu said irritated.

“I dunno, I was still hungry last night! What was I to do?” He said, shrugging. She glared at him for a moment before pulling her attention to the general group.

”We’ll have to do something about our food situation. We’ll either have to go hunting or steal some from the other players.”

“I don’t care how, I just want some meat!”

“Meat! Yay!” Desco rang out. Guu shook her head as she pulled out the map, sprawling it out on a rock.

”Ok, so we need to be strategic with where we should go next. In my honest opinion, I believe we should head for-”

”I say we go there!” She said pointing on what seemed to be a random location on the map.

“What? No, Desco, we need to plan this out. It’s about taking the best route that will lead to our survi-”

“I second Purple’s notion!” Yelled Luffy.

“What are you… what kind of nickname is… how are you so… You know what? Let’s do it. When in Rome I guess.”

Guu lead the pack, compass in hand with the map within reach in her pack. Luffy and Desco are side-by-side, arms locked. Luffy was skipping merrily, while Desco was pretending to skip while floating up and down. Guu face palmed with a dismembered hand.

And the three wander off in the greater expanse, unknown where their adventures will take them.
