Claire Ferguson felt almost bad stumbling across the man.

He was half-alive and holding onto the rocks with what seemed to be large green gloves. When she slid down the little hillside, she almost felt something like pity.

Unfortunately, she knew enough already to know that the only way to win was to eliminate the competition, and that meant situations like this.

With a frown, Blink slid down and placed a foot on the back of the man’s head and pressed it into the sand. He thrashed for a few minutes, but eventually, the strength failed him. The body went limp, and Lubbock’s agonizing time in the Abyss drew to a close.
