A high, whistling wind danced at the edge of Link's perception. As the minutes rolled by, Link's numbness faded. The sound of the chilly gale twisted deeper into his mind until it reached him, awakening him from a heavy slumber. His eyes barely parted, blinking rapidly, snowflakes clinging to his lashes. The harsh white of the snow all around him burned his vision and he squinted against it until it became tolerable. Eyes open only part way, the Hylian inspected himself.

He sat in a blanket of snow covering most of his body below the waist, save his bent knees that thrust out of it. A bumpy, uneven rock supported his back, and judging by the stiffness in his joints, he'd been there for a while. Link lifted a shivering arm from the snow, white clumps dropping away, and slowly, gradually, brushed the powder off his body. As he did, his fingers swatted away a piece of paper, a little soggy from the snow. Intrigued but still fighting for true cognizance of his situation, Link fumbled with the paper, retrieving his other buried arm to finally open it, and read.

I have your shiny little triangle. You were such a sucker to lead me straight to it. It's so pretty, I can see why you climbed a mountain for it.

Now its power is mine. I have no doubt this will be the exact thing I need to complete my plans.

If you want me, you don't have much time. Get through the portal or it's gone forever.

I promise it's not a trap. Honest.

Syla

Link's mind snapped out of its confusion instantly. He leapt to his feet, the biting cold clamped over every inch of his skin, and hurled the paper into the wind. His equipment was still on his back; strange that Syla hadn't relieved him of them, but Link didn't have time for intricacies. That thief had his Triforce of Courage, the item that marked him as the Hero of Time, a sacred relic only fit for the one chosen by the goddesses. To think that she had poached it from him was maddening.

Link spun around, eyes questing against the frigid winds. Not far from him there was a tent set up, and a jagged portal in the air as if someone had ripped it open with their bare hands. Strangely enough, the snow lined gales failed to penetrate through the open spaces of the tent, as if some warm current of air cancelled it out as it collided with it. But Link didn't care.

Get through the portal, or it's gone forever.

Link couldn't lose the Triforce piece. He couldn't. It was as much a part of him as his long ears, or his sword and shield, or his bow and arrows. Even with the Master Sword restored to its full glorious strength, it simply wasn't enough. Losing the Triforce of Courage was like losing a piece of himself. No one was going to take that from him.

Ignoring the stinging cold, Link waddled through the thigh deep snow. The thick powder made it tough going, but his motivation was set. It burned in him hotter than any fireball, and would not be extinguished, no matter how high or freezing the snow. Syla would relinquish the Triforce piece at swordpoint ... or worse, if it had to come to that.

Link trudged on, and eventually the snow receded until it swam about the top of his boots. He stepped beneath the tent and instantly felt warm. His skin stung, the cold's last vengeance as the unnatural heat sapped it from him. As his body returned to more agreeable temperatures, a gentle tingle alighting on his face, he all at once felt exhaustion fall upon him. All he wanted to do was collapse and sleep off the weariness, but his eyes caught sight of the jagged tear in space, and a renewed defiance ignored it. There would be time for rest later.

Link stumbled towards the portal before a clean shaven man in a suit slowly sidestepped in front of it, clipboard in hand. It took the Hylian a moment to register that he was trying to block him from entry. What else would he be doing? Link blinked hard. He needed to be more alert if he was going to beat Syla.

"Excuse me, sir?" the man asked, clicking and unclicking his pen. "Are you interested in joining Dante's Abyss?"

Link squinted at the man. About his age, maybe a little older, slick black hair, eagerness on his face. One of Syla's agents, trying to stall him? "I need to get through that portal."

"That's fine sir. I'll just need to take some information and you can head on in." He clicked the pen again. "What's your name?"

"Link," he said without thinking. "Wait, why do you need this information?"

The suited man shrugged. "Standard protocols."

Metallic objects with lenses of glass were trained on Link. "What are those?"

"Ah, not from a very technologically advanced world?" the man asked. "Cameras. It's just a visual record we take before you enter."

Link shook his head. "I don't have time for this. I need to get through that portal."

"Well, OK sir, but if you'll just wait a --"

Link pushed the man out of the way. "Sorry, but this isn't something that can wait."

Link rushed into the tear in space and vanished from the Frozen Fields.

Quote:Appearance – http://assets.vg247.com/current//2011/0 ... _01_ad.jpg.

Personality – Link is brave, kind and perceptive. He's not a fan of fighting or killing if it can be avoided, but once Link makes that decision, he does not feel any guilt or hesitation to bring it to an end, however that may be. Link can be cautious when meeting new people, and often forms quick opinions on them depending on their first impressions, which Link finds hard to forget.

Possible Reactions – Link has entered the tournament under false pretenses; he was chasing after the Triforce of Courage, which was stolen from him. He believed he could find the thief through the portal, but now realises he was tricked. He detests the idea of a killing tournament, and though he's been told death is impermanent in the Omniverse, he's not sure he can trust that information yet. However, reclaiming his Triforce piece is too important to him, and he will do whatever it takes to get out alive.

Relationships – Ganondorf: Link's nemesis. Despite the Gerudo's diplomatic act during their first meeting, Link does not believe it. He will be more than happy to tangle with Ganondorf and end him swiftly.

‘Combat’ Style –

Ultimately Link would try to avoid confrontations where possible, but he will not back down once challenged. Link is an accomplished warrior, and despite lacking his trademark weaponry, will still be a fierce and dangerous opponent. Due to his proficiency as a warrior, he would look at tackling the enemy from the most strategic point; much like he battled the many bosses in Hyrule who all had weak points, Link would do his best to identify that in his opponent, relying more on wits and skill than strength and power.

If it is apparent that he is outmatched, Link would do his best to escape, having no foolish notions of honour in battle.

He would use his Super Moves and Transformations only in a defensive role, trying to preserve his power unless his opponent ups the ante. However if he stumbles upon Ganondorf, all bets are off.

Eligible Powers – Master Acrobat

Moves – (Roster here)
- Dual Clawshots
- Light Arrow (Tier 1 Super Move Offensive)
- Hylian Bulwark (Tier 1 Super Move Defensive) [NOTE: Link doesn't have the Triforce of Courage at the moment, so it may be that he summons a copy of his shield with his omnilium or whatever.]
- Zora Link (Tier 1 Power Up)

Zora Link Stats (from base form):
ATK: +1
DEF: +1
SPD: +2
TEC: +1

Extra – Link will be in a very strange place; his regular equipment gone, in a dangerous situation with no real purpose, all the while his faith in himself wavering.

Quotes – "This doesn't have to end this way. Leave now, or you will leave me no choice."
- "I won't back down."
- "You shall not defeat the chosen one of the goddesses."
- (For Ganondorf only) "Others may fall for your ruse, but you'll never fool me."
- (For Ganondorf only) "I can only rest after you are dead."
