(Pre-Show) Registration Booths (WHERE YOU SIGN UP IC)
#1
All across the Omniverse, gates leading into the Dante Verse have appeared. From the gates, employees from Syntex have exited to set up little ‘registration camps’ and process prospective entrants for Dante’s Abyss. Although they are in every verse, the camps all look essentially the same. A large tent surrounds the gate and houses a wide space with a plain-looking employee, some cameras, and the gate to Dante Verse. The employee is there to take everyone’s information and record a segment about them for the audience watching the event.

Outside the main tent, there are other little booths where people can socialize with anyone else waiting their turn inside the registration area. In the more populated verses, there will be long lines, but in places like the Ashen Steppes or the Frozen Fields, you may be one of a few people these workers will meet during the entire registration period. You are not obligated to socialize or schmooze, but the option is there for you to do so.

Once the attendant takes your information and films you, you are considered a ‘prospective’ entrant into Dante’s Abyss. You will step through the gate (a large, jagged crack in reality) and find yourself in the lobby of the Preshow Facility. You may then start to post in whichever of those threads you want to.

When you post your roleplay, you (the writer) must fill out the following form and place it in [*quote] tags.

Quote:Appearance – Your character’s appearance (a picture will suffice for canonical characters).

Personality – Your character’s personality in a few sentences.

Possible Reactions – How would your character respond to certain situations? How might they respond to other types of people?
-Example - Proto Man has entered the competition to seek glory and money to give back to his community. He would go out of his way not to hurt anyone, except in self-defense, and he would try his hardest not to betray people. On the other hand, Shang Tsung is out for his own glory and interests. He wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone he could, and he wouldn't think twice about using anything to his advantage.

Relationships – State any important friendships/rivalries you have with other contestants. Example - Guu and Gilgamesh fought each other in the past, so those two crossing paths would be something the audience would be keen on watching for.

‘Combat’ Style – Now by this I don’t mean a fighting style. I’m looking more at how your character will react if thrown into violent situations. Do they go fists flying? Will they retreat to find a better advantage? Will they be cowardly? Will they defend their allies above all?

Eligible Powers – List these, I will reference this over your Roster.

Moves – List your eligible moves (if you have any) AND put in a roster link to where I can find their descriptions. Also, BOLD moves that your character frequently uses (their ‘bread n’ butter’). Please label Super Moves accordingly and include transformations.

Extra – Anything you think I must know to properly write your character.

Quotes – List a quote or two your character has said or may say.
