As I continued running, I stopped in a construction lot, meeting eyes with Laura. "Laura Jannett..." I said. "Streak..." she replied. "...Hate...That...Name..." I murmured. "Stop right where you are..." I then demanded. "How about not?" Laura said, teleporting up the steps. I raced after her, but she teleported back down. I ran after her again, but she teleported into an escape vehicle, odd that it was a land vehicle in the city with flying cars, where her husband was. I chased after the vehicle as it took off. Chasing, I past by the karaoke spot, the bakery and the practically abandoned pizzeria. The tables turned on the bakery VS pizzeria as a "1 free slice" sign was placed on the pizzeria door. People flooded from the bakery to the pizzeria. I didn't see the whole thing, due to the chase, but I knew it was probably the pizzeria winning that time. They started firing a handgun at me, until one bullet grazed my neck, taking some skin with. "GAHH!" I collapsed. On the road. With a truck coming. Without even being out cold, which would make this death even more painful. At least the truck stopped, and the owner started driving me to the hospital. He asked what happened as I started getting strong enough to talk again. "...Well, I was chasing after the teleporter and her boyfriend...They started firing a handgun at me...And one hit my neck...Surprised I'm alive and awake." I said. He just started gunning it FASTER, hearing it was from a bullet.
