Down in the pits, Buggy and Bubble man regrouped with team Mugiwara and they were met with overwhelming reception. Luffy was loud and obnoxious as ever as he yelled praises for the two, much to red-nose’s aggravation. Lopunny congratulated the two sweetly, while even Slowking gave them an impressed look despite his previous misgiving with the clown. Luffy pulled everyone in with one large stretched out hug, squishing them all together in one large pile which were met with groans from a good number of the group.
“Yeah! Let’s celebrate with finding some meat!” Yelled the straw hatted one. However Chief Emboar was quick to storm in.
“Hold on Strawhat!” He yelled. “You’re still our prisoner. Don’t even think of leaving this place!”
“Chief Emboar, may I interrupt?” Began Slowking. “These humans have well earned some R&R. They’ve participated in your competition, they’ve served part of Luffy’s punishment, I think some time at the fair is well due.”
“Well... I...” He began is response, but was quickly cut off as Slowking continued.
“Not to mention, what would the crowd, who are taking quite a liking to the team, think if you didn’t throw them a bone every now and then?”
Emboar was a taken aback by the cold hard logic of the royal advisor. Taking a moment to process this information, he finally gave his response.
“Well... Ok, you can have this shore-leave. But only with supervision.” He signals to several Pignite guards that were originally just loafing around. “Stick with this group, make sure they stay out of trouble. Got that?”
The guards nod while the Chief take off past them, squealing angrily under his breath over the fact that he just got served by the royal advisor.
“Well, you heard him. Go have some fun.”
Luffy’s smile spreads a mile wide, to the point of being infectious. He loops his arms around Buggy and Lopunny.
“Let’s find some meat!!” He yelled as he dashed out of the pit and out of the building. The pignite guards and the rest of Team Mugiwara barely can keep up with the lightning fast strawhat.
By the time everyone caught up with Luffy, Lopunny, and Buggy, he was in front of one of the stalls, scarfing down loads and loads of oddly shaped meat. Lopunny stands timidly beside him with a comical sweat drop running down her face. Buggy is still recovering from his head spinning. The Diggersby is getting more and more frustrated.
“Save some for everyone else you loaf!” the obese rabbit yelled, slapping Luffy several times with a spatula to no avail. The guards all grab onto the rubber man and attempt to pull him away from the stall. Soon, buggy straighten up and joins in the tug.
“Let up you flashy ass! You want to get us in trouble again!” Yelled red nose.
In all the commotion, Lopunny noticed across from the stall stood a strange Pokemon draped in a trench coat. She slowly makes her way to the mysterious mon. Upon noticing the bunny’s attention, he pulls out a plastic bag carrying a bright red fish swimming in circles in a small body of water.
“For a measly 100 om, I can sell this exotic water type pokemon.” he said in a raspy voice. “You can’t find it anywhere else. Are you interested little lady?”
She gave the fish a long look over. While she liked it’s beautiful colors, she wouldn’t know where to keep it even if she had bought it. Before she could respond however, Luffy suddenly appeared behind her, causing her to jolt, startled.
“Woah! Fish! Is it tasty!” Yelled the strawhat.
The mysterious pokemon was kind of surprised by the human’s response. He knew about sushi, but he didn’t think people ate the fish while it was still alive.
“Well, if you want to eat it, I don’t have any complaint with whatever you want to do it once you’ve bought it.”
“That’s a magikarp.” Stated Slowking plainly. “It’s actually quite common. It eventually evolves to become Garados, one of the sea dragons that protect the oceans around the island.”
“Woah! Sea king I fought on the way in was originally one of those things?” Luffy said excitedly while pointing at the fish.
“Yep, however, until then, it is quite useless.” He said to Luffy, but then turns to the mysterious Pokemon. “By the way, do you have a license to sell at this festival?”
“Oh umm...” The stranger suddenly took off in a random direction. One of the guards break from the group to chase after him.

“You flashy idiot!” Yelled the clown.
