The Scramble [Complete]
#65
“One job. What do you say?”

Bradley took a moment to consider. “I was hoping for more of a long-term agreement. You’re a hard man to bargain with.” He laughed jovially. “Fair enough. One job, and we’ll tell you how to reach the Oververse.”

Thrall sighed, shaking his head. “If you want to reach the Oververse, there’s more than one way.”

Magus looked down at the warchief.

“I’m not gonna be the one who tells you how to get there,” said Thrall. “You’ve gotta be ready yourself to do that. But maybe … the library would be a good place to start. That goes for you, too,” he said, jutting his chin to the other newcomer, at his question of seeking knowledge.

Bradley turned his palms up. “Well, that’s your choice. But we can show you the best way, the quickest way, and set you up with some Omnilium to get you going. Besides,” he continued, now turning to address Maximillion as well. “If it’s information you’re after, Coruscant has the greatest library known to the Omniverse. The librarian is a little bit of a … character, you could say, but at least he’s not an orangutan.” He smirked at Thrall, who looked a little bit sheepish and shrugged.

“As for your other question,” continued the Warchief, “Do not mistake ‘freedom’ for foolishness. We do not tolerate criminals. But as long as you go with peace, you are welcome in our Kingdom. That’s more than I can say for the Empire.”

“Pah! Is that really the best you can do, Thrall? Slandering your enemy?”

The orc was unphased. “They can believe what they want, but I’m going to give them the truth.”
Curious about me and the characters I play? See the 'Staff' page! See also the rosters for my characters Samus Aran or Enel if you'd like to see examples of well-formatted rosters. Hope you enjoy the Omniverse!
