[Goes after the last history paragraph] As Cloud approached the gate that leads into Midgar, his mind partly in shambles due to the Mako poisoning and trauma of seeing Zack die, he hoisted his Buster Sword up and clipped it to the leather straps on his back. Cloud looked up at the large gate and took a step through it, only to find himself standing in a pitch black room. A single, white, figure - standing in what appeared to be the distance – ready to greet him.
