"So this is how you work a dataverse device, and how you use a communicator." This was spoken by Veritas to Celestia as thy mad their way back to Costa De Sol. Upon noticing the number of soldiers that were there and the fact they were recruiting for a cause, Veritas came to two conclusions. One the situation in the Pale Moors according to what he had overheard was not his problem. Thus he didn't feel an urgent need to get himself killed playing the role of the 'hero' as it were. Secondly Celestia was right. In his condition a dragged out battle was inadvisable to say the least, and could result in him literally dying. Until he had control, involving himself in anything like that was folly.
Veritas told the general after he heard the words of Celestia.
"I will not be going with you. I have my own plans, and right now am recovering from an accident."
Not entirely the truth, but the curse had been accidentally triggered.
He'd turn to Celestia.
"Now, Celestia. Tell me more about this Sombra that Revan mentioned. You seem to think he is a villain? Why is that?"
