Jon steadily brought himself back to his feet, sheathing his dagger back at it's place on his belt. His first instinct had been to grab for it, and try and defend himself. He had deemed the Golemancer Sivo to be, however, no more of a threat. The drone stammered and hissed in it's speech, it's metal construct cracked and it's features twitching and thrashing malevolently. Jon inhaled sharply as he unsheathed his blade once more, raising it slightly into the air, ready to charge down Sivo and put an end to this conflict, here and now...
And yet, Jon found his arms and legs unmoving from where he stood. He... he couldn't...
As his eyes flashed the being over, he couldn't help but feel a shred of pity and remorse for it. From how Sivo spoke, it appeared as though the machine was built for this very purpose; to slay 'possessed' beings. And who was Jon to deny itt from fulfilling that objective? As dishonourable as it may be, bringing harm upon children, there was much honour to be found in sticking to duty and doing what had to be be done. The bastard's grip around his blade tightened. He who passes the sentence must swing the sword... he reminisced on the saying of advice, his fathers words... Jon glared deep into Sivo's three, robotic eyes. Snow felt as though he couldn't bring himself to finish the beaten Golemancer, and in that, perhaps Sivo didn't truly deserve to die.
Jon's gaze flickered over to Crona, features twisting quite suddenly into a look of mixed horror and disgust...
What he saw now was not the timid, feminine-looking boy who reminded Jon so of his brother, Bran. No... what truly faced him now was a demon. A monster in human flesh. Crona's lips were spread into a wide, unnatural and manic grin, his eyes erratic and filled with a violent hunger. A disturbing laugh emitted from the boys lips, which sent a slight shiver down the back of Jon's neck, and made his bones rack.
The bastard was brought back to his sense at the sound of... sirens, was he hearing? Yes... alarms for panic and distress sounded out, all around them. Jon shifted his body, teeth gritting together with concern and suspense.
Stormtroopers, the men clad-in-white Crona and he had spotted guarding the gates earlier, poured out from every alley. All armed with their signature weapons, 'Blaster Rifles', as Adam had called them. Jon glanced back at Sivo and Crona, as if to read their mutual expressions, before turning back to face the incoming horde of arbites.
And then, another stepped from the shadows. Much more distinguishable from the rest, for this figure was clad in red and grey, a smaller rifle in hand and a yellow badge pinned at his chest that only spelled out one word. DREDD.
The men in white seemed to follow after the one in red. A leader, of sorts, Jon could tell. An inquisitor, and justiciar. Jon had met many of those types before. Dredd and his band stopped just before the three primes, rifles aimed at their direction. Jon prepared himself mentally for the onslaught that would inevitably occur next.
"Lower your weapons, Primes. Nobody needs to die here." Dredd finally spoke, a surprising hint of calmness and calamity to his tones. This one knows what he's doing, what he's up against... Jon lamented mentally. But, still, Snow was not ready to bow down and surrender himself just yet. And for what crime was he guilty of, exactly? Defending a child from being murdered? Jon grunted.
His first feeling was to flee.
The bastard spun on his heel, effortlessly leaping up to the Chimera, and sliding over the bonnet. Sheathing his blade quickly, Jon dared not to look back as he ran for an alleyway, hoping to divide himself from the Stormtroopers behind him and in the process, lose them from his tracks. "Shoot THAT one!" Dredd orderer, as the troopers opened fire on Jon. Each shot seemed to miss, however, for Jon's figure was mostly concealed within the alley as the order was given, and Jon's okay physique, agility and swiftness gave him the lucky edge in this instance.
Jon continued to sprint as fast as he could. Navigating through the long, joining back alley's of the tier. He was convinced he had mostly lost the Stormtroopers who gave chase, though the brief echoes and distressed shouts and yells were still audible from behind Jon. Jon's sprint slowly halted to a jog as he reached the end of the alleyway, the gap leading back out into the street...
A big mistake.
As Jon turned the corner, a striking force collided into his face, sending him lurching backwards onto the floor, falling on his back. Jon groaned, his vision hazy as he concluded he now must have a concussion of sorts thanks to the blow. The bastard felt his eyelids droop, and close over. The last thing he spotted before blacking out was a Stormtrooper leaning over him, keeping Jon pinned under the tip of his rifle.
"We got him, Judge."
(( OOC note ))
I'm just not good with deadlines now, am I? If I've learnt and taken one thing from this thread, it'd definantely be that, lol. Sorry that this post took a big longer than expected, I was going through a bit of a writes block yet again, and I've kinda noticed a pattern in this cycle. Seems that I'm most motivated to write at the weekends, as opposed to weekdays. This is probably, in short thanks, to school tiring me out and making the very thought of writing a "nahhh" answer in my head. We'll see, though, and since I'm now on spring break, this problem shouldn't occur quite so much for a while.
Also, Mako skipping a post kinda caught me off guard. I thought I would have had more time to prepare a post, but ehhh :3
