Aang was internally fuming. The merry crew was finally, FINALLY getting on their way, when they were suddenly accosted by a Dio more angry even than had been witnessed the previous night, when a party-crasher had brought about his personal humiliation and torment. Apparently, they weren't actually on their way at all.
Nonetheless, he did his best to keep a straight face, albeit with rather twitchy eyebrows, as the new gameplan was laid out. They were to wait back at the manor for Alain, who had also just left, to return with something useful. It wasn't just that he felt belittled and almost incompetent, but also that he'd not even gotten to prove himself. What's more, he had finally, FINALLY gotten to socialize a bit with Kuzan, the one party member who he'd mostly trusted for most of this time, and hadn't gotten to bring up his suspicions of the rest of the party yet. He contented himself to slowly and quietly shamble alongside Kuzan and Atelos as they followed Dio back to the manor at a good 20 paces.
"Well, um, Atelos, was it? I apologize for this. I was going to try and at least direct you back to your hometown" - he began to mumble - "And maybe just get some info for the trouble... Ah, but you see, we never meant to hurt or disrespect you or, anything like that..." He trailed off as his thoughts began to wander back to the undead messenger. He didn't know what these Drow were, but they sounded scary, and dangerous. It was even likely that they'd have to face these creatures on their way to defeat the bigger one. He turned again to the newest member of the entourage. "Uhm, what ARE the drow, in the first place? And if we can't avoid them, do they have any weaknesses we might exploit? Do ya think they'll stop when we stop the Tarrasque? Hey, why is your face so angry? Am I just talking too much?" At this, he received an angry, firm nod, causing him to gulp and turn back to face the path ahead.
"Really, though, we could certainly use your help. And anyway, you're an ally of Darkshire, and I can't imagine they are friends with this creature." His voice had slowed down, and he was talking more upwards than towards Atelos. Speaking of strategy... It suddenly became clear to Aang that he had no idea what any of the primes surrounding him were capable of, both on moral and combat terms. At the very least, their expedition could take advantage of coordination their skills... Right?
"Hey, Dio! Wait up for a sec!" He didn't, of course, actually expect the pissed off, hulking man to slow down for him, so he hopped onto a whirling sphere of wind and sped over to catch up on his own. "So, while we're waiting, I was thinking we could at least get acquainted with eachother's abilities and stuff? I mean, it'd certainly be a better use of our spare time while waiting than just sitting around, and we could possibly use it to coordinate a battle plan of sorts." Aang realized then that he was still sitting on the air scooter and, considering that said state may be rude for the sake of conversation, promptly allowed it to dissipate and fell comfortably but unceremoniously to his feet. He was still a bit frustrated with the party leader for his recent intrusion, but couldn't deny the man's will to do what it took to coordinate such a party as the one presently gathered.
It was also almost certainly against his best interest to show any more than he already had of his suspicions towards Dio, and to this end, Aang returned to his best impression of naivety and contentment. "I mean, I'll even go first, if you like." Though he hadn't actively checked, it seemed the others had had the time to catch up by this point, as the footsteps behind him had grown closer and their breaths were again tangible upon the boy's bald head. "What do you say, guys?"
