Toying with Time
#18
Toybox Girl tagged along with Caira. She continued to concentrate her processors on the Dataverse buy little information was coming from it. She had hit a wall in trying to tap into the information that was readily available and she didn't have access to any more private and secret areas to use. Caira's sources in the library hadn't turned up much though. The mysterious guard was all they had as a lead now and he was just mysterious. Toybox Girl wondered if the man was just doing it to mess with them, it wouldn't be the first time she's found people like that. Koko Gaap from her universe was a pint sized cutely disformed bot cursed by the Demon Gaap who loved to spread her mischief by attaching the Demon BS to other robots so they would be turned into small super deformed versions of themselves. A lot of the girls liked the Chibi form and most didn't let it stop them fighting, though their firepower was quartered it gave them some supportive powers too.

"I have an idea Caira. We could use some more direct assistance in this endeavor." There was something she hadn't tried yet but it was well known on the Dataverse boards. Secondary characters were known to come from Summoning by Primes. She concentrated and held up her hands. What they needed was some support, a couple of bots that could explore freely and scout potential locations for their target. She needed guys that were fast and reliable, and she knew well that the Bee Tribe had made a pratical army of Cosmic Heroes for the Ark. They could come in great numbers and swarm their targets and their small size and agility made them great scouts. "I am going to summon some help from my universe. You can do it too, Primes are the source of Secondaries in this world and it relates to the names, Primes brought the Secondaries to the Omniverse." Toybox Girl shrugged. "I don't like the idea of getting more people stuck here in the Omniverse, but the Cosmic Ark is not short on bots. After all... It is only a matter of time before the Demon Force comes to invade this Universe as they have so many others." Two forms appeared and slowly materialized. Their signature black and yellow bodies solidified and shapes became whole. The summoning finished as Caira conversed with their potential informant. "Where am I?" "Where are we I think you mean, oh a Toybox Girl Model." "Did you warp us in here? We were just enjoying some time off from the Union Wars." Toybox Girl smiled. "I'm afraid so, I've brought you to a place called the Omniverse that isn't connected to the Ark. Connect with me, it'll be faster and we have a rush order."

Toybox Girl communicated with the two Beezle wirelessly exchanging information much faster than they could speaking to eachother. It was an efficient but impersonal way to communicate and only used when required. "We see, of course." "Bzzzzt, I was hoping to see Crimrose in action today, but now we are going to be stuck here for a while no?" "We got it though." The two Beezle understood what they were here for. Cosmic Heroes always worked in teams and then with the Ark in unison. While Toybox Girl had Caira as a partner, she had no information base yet. That she had ended up here meant other Cosmic Heroes could have been forced here, and worse Demon Force members could be assembling their bases and factories right now to take over this set of connected world. That meant that any support deemed necessary had to be brought in.

Toybox Girl turned and the now trio included Caira into the concussion by their body language."Alright Ladies, we are looking for any information on the dark mage in this bounty." Toybox Girl held up the wanted ad. "We aim to start our time off in this dimension by making a little money. This is a magical city where anything could happen so keep on your toes. We also have a lead on a wizard guard but the situation with him is unknown at best so let's not focus on that..."

Toybox Girl ADAPT BS Restored.

Toybox Girl paused for a moment, and some clicking sounds were clearly audible. Click Click... Thud! The previously dysfunctional booster on the back of her backpack adjusted, little motors quietly whirring as they adjusted its aim back to neutral position. "Well that should help too, I can fly again." Like her flying Beezle compatriots here, her Booster was normally second nature to her. All bots had some kind of flight where she came from whether magic or their own version of a Booster. Toybox Girl briefly lifted into the air, the booster growling and its green colored flame pushing her up. "Alright, now I think we should consider that this Magus may have been seen. So I want you two to go out and ask everyone you can that is on a road adjacent to this library. With any luck we'll find a real witness to our culprit. You two both have working Radar, so you should easily find us once you have a lead. You'll have to since neither of us have good communication devices and the email on Dataverse is rather slow." "Understood, we'll be off. Caren, I'll go this way." "Take care, Nora."

Caren floated off down the street. She looked about at the streets. It was one thing to have listend to the data dump from TBG but seeing all of this in full view was a sight to behold. The Cosmic Ark had its magic but it was confined to the ladies that brought it to the Ark. Here magic seeped out of everything. Street lights were without wires or attachments, just some wood with a magic fire in their lamps. Books floated in the air and through the air traveling as if with a will of their own while likewise brooms brushed the ground and tables just floated above ground, some holding merchandise they try to pawn off to the local travelers at exaggerated prices no doubt. Caren asked the merchants if they had seen the Dark Mage by his description, but the answers she got were negatives or maybes.

She approached an elderly woman and around her were several children, clearly of different races as one had pointed ears and another green skin. "Hello! Might I ask you guys a question?" "Hey look a talking flying Bee!" "Of course its flying, its a Bee stupid!" The woman turned, the children gawking, hiding, or ignoring the robotic bee, and quickly looked up and down Caren, evaluating her with professionalism. "I suppose it isn't a child to adopt you are looking for. How can I help you?" Implicitly from this unexpected statement, this woman was caring for these children who were most likely children that have been orphaned. Likely to be a common occurrence in a bizarre place like this. "I'm looking for information on a dark mage that goes by the name of Magus. He is known to have pale skin and red eyes and wears a red cape with purple pants and a blue sash. I was hoping you had seen someone matching this description." The lady furrowed her brow. "That doesn't sound 'that' unusual around these parts, but it doesn't ring any bells for me. Children?"

Meanwhile, Nora zipped around. She asked every last passeryby that she could find in quick succession. With the wierdness wearing off on her, she had gone to her normal excitable nature and was perhaps overly energetic as she darted from place to place. She stopped at doors to shops and pubs shouting in what she was looking for and as soon as she got a response she darted off to the next thing or person of interest. Despite her rapidfire motion, her search turned up nothing and she ended up far off the path she had been given to look for people. "Whoops, I think I took a wrong turn somewhere." She started to wander back the way she had come, using her radar to find the others but still she followed the streets rather than fly above the rooftops and got even more lost despite being able to track her own movements by triangulating her position with the signals of everyone around her. "This doesn't seem right..." Soon she found herself taking a tunnel and going down into the sewer system. Giving up on looking for the others for the moment, she browsed the area which surprisingly had people in it.

Toybox Girl looked at Caira. She gestured off towards the guardhouse that she had gotten information from before. "How about we try the guards again? Besides the one we are looking for, the others might help, especially if we could find the officer that was in charge of this before it became a bounty."
