Daemon and the Devout
#3
With a tilt of his head and a small sigh, Crona hefts his blade up to point directly at his opponent. It seemed as though Sivo had no intentions of writing a poem and was resulting to violence. A bittersweet result, he was genuinely hoping to avoid conflict, but now as his heart raced and his black blood pumped through his body as he prepared to strike, he couldn't resist a ravenous, toothy grin etching itself onto his mouth. Thoughts of ripping the Enginseer to shreds and devouring his soul dominated the child's feeble mind, but the image was short lived as Crona did what he could to push it from his mind.

Sivo fired a weapon the likes of which Crona had never seen, the bolt of energy swiftly tore through the air before cascading into Crona's side. The Child lets out a pained yelp and clutches his newest wound, his black blood dripping freely onto his hand and the floor beneath. He stares amazed at the slice, as though surprised that Sivo could actually hit him, let alone damage him. "Ragnarok. Harden the--" He began, but was interrupted by Sivo's mechanical voice. Something about the world ending? He wasn't paying attention, but he certainly should have as he barely looks up to see a flash of emerald green, and by then it was too late, the electrical energy of Sivo's weapons ruptured through the boy's body, and he lets out an exasperated gasp as the surge rushed through.

Fortunately, Crona's body was built to deal with pain, and he had certainly endured much worse then Sivo's petty attacks. The Child looks up slowly to see the Enginseer standing ontop of his Chimera, and staring at him with a righteous zeal before letting of another round which barely missed him and left a sizzling pothole in the ground. "You shall be cast back into hell, Daemon. The Thirty Four Thousand, Two Hundred, and Eighty Seven souls your ilk consumed aboard The Aquilline will be avenged."

"Don't look at me like that." Crona retorts, clearly annoyed and seemingly rather upset. "I don't like it. You're looking at me like I did something wrong. I've tried very hard not to do anything wrong. This is unfair." He finishes with a huff, before leveling his sword to point at his enemy once again. He glances to his side to see that Jon was already quickly rushing up to engage on their enemy, he was silently relieved that the Lord Commander was on his side, he wasn't sure how he would manage if he chose the other side. The Child watches on as Jon slashes several times across Sivo's chest, but other than a few steps back from the force, it seemed fairly undamaged, until Jon's blade swiftly changed directions and took what looked like a chunk of the Enginseer's face. His companion seemed shocked by what he saw, but Crona only saw a successful blow and an opportunity to attack.

With Ragnarok's edge being leveled at his enemy for the past few moments, the blade lets out a blood-curdling scream into the air as it fired a chaotic purple pulse from the end of the blade, it seemed as though the beam itself continued a chilling shrill as it launched directly at Sivo, though somehow the attack struggled to make it through some invisible barrier that the Enginseer had around him. The shield took away the brunt of the attack, but still lands heavily into Sivo's chest, its metal plates just barely denting from the force as he was pushed off-balance. It didn't look like the beam did much damage, but it should allow Jon the luxury to prepare himself for another offensive, and Crona could quickly rush and make his way to the side of the Chimera, and in a few moments he had joined the others on the roof of the metal beast.

The surrounding civilians had all but cleared the immediate area, the sight of three warring primes was enough to send most running, especially as bullets and screams began to fill the air. Surely it wouldn't be long until some law-enforcement arrived to put an end to the combat, but at the moment Crona was certainly not thinking in the long-term.
