Daemon and the Devout
#2
Jon kept a stern, steady gaze fixed onto the Golemancer, his hand firm at his blades side. Jon peered over his shoulder as he spotted the androids glare hover past him; and toward Chrona. Or, more specifically... Ragnarok, who had resurfaced into the open, spinning his blade around as a taunt against his opponent. Jon's brows furrowed downwards. The more sensible part of Jon's mind was telling him to guide Crona away from this chaos, to shove him to one side... to keep him safe. But judging how his demonic other had came out to help, and he clutched his longsword with a certain confidence and awareness of the situation... it made the bastard think otherwise.

Snow's attention was brought back to the Golemancer, as the sound of something being fired rang into the air. With quick reflexes, Jon rolled to the side, the spout of energy just missing him, though separating him from his boy ally. Gritting his teeth and drawing his blade quickly from it's scabbard, Jon gripped at his sword with both hands, turning his body to face Sivo more fully. Civillians and ongoers had heard the shot, the city's people beginning to flock about in panic, running away for their very lives. This could only go one way... Jon thought to himself. He felt the fool for trying to keep the peace intact in the first place. This wasn't the Nights Watch, where others trusted his strategic wit and carried out his commands with little question. Perhaps this nightmare was a meant to be a wakeup call; some cruel trick from the Old Gods he worshipped, with some more moral or great lesson to be learnt.

Jon was not ready at all for what came next. Surges of green energy ravaged the floor beneath them, his silhouette illuminated by the emerald glow. As suddenly as the glow began to appear, a surge of energy and electric struck from beneath in, Jon yelling out in pain as the elements struck through his body. He felt as though his very being was tearing itself in half, almost, a strong burning sensation shredding at his skin. His hands would be all but frazzled by now, if he hadn't the black gloves he was acquainted to wearing to protect them somewhat. As the firestorm ended, Jon crumpled weakly to his knees, barely keeping ahold of his weapon, loosely gripping it with one hand.

"By the pulse of the world, does yours end." he heard the Golemancer say, the bastards gaze raising his meet his defiantly. It doesn't end here... Jon's mind spoke with resolute. Bringing himself to his feet and grasping back onto his blade with both hands, Jon began to rush towards the Chimera which Sivo stood upon. Jon felt shocked that what just happened to him hadn't killed him. His bones ached, his body felt weak and still stung in pain from the burn, yet he still felt a fire brew within him. To fight, and to end this.

Jon stepped about in all different directions as he ran for the Chimera, not wanting to face the wrath of another blast from Sivo. Drawing nearer to the tank, he effortlessly leaped up, feet landing firmly upon the metal. "HAAAAAAAAAAAGH" Jon let out a cry of battle as he'd dash toward the Golemancer, raising his blade for an attack. Sending some quick, well-timed slashes across the robots chest. It flinched and reeded backwards from Jon's advances, but otherwise, seemed quite unafflicted. Jon grit his teeth, bringing his sword up for one last, strong swing. Changing the course of his swords destination, thwacking it against the Golemancers face, it's identity shrouded by the robes it wore, and... a mask?

As Longclaw connected with Sivo, the face plate the android wore was flung from it's face, landing upon the hull of the chimera with a chink, a noticeable dent left in the mask from the impact of the steel. Jon's jaw dropped slightly. Looking back to Sivo, the android's true face was revealed. The Golemancers lower jaw was replaced by a speaker of some sort, and three robotic eyes glared down at Jon disdainfully. Jon reer'd backward, taking only a second to absorb in Sivo's features. Bring some equal length between them, Jon brought his blade back up, ready to defend against whatever Sivo was to strike him with next.
