[Round 2 - C] Jibril & Harley Quinn vs Retane & Victor
#3
The Namekian staggered backward on the slanted ground. He fell prone, weakened by the spacial contortion to the point that his own limbs were barely able to keep him from going horizontal. The rock beneath him was warm and almost soothing as it reminded him he was still here, not in that rift that had been forced upon him mere moments ago. It brought back memories of time long forgotten; of the pain and anguish he once had to endure when he had been stuck in limbo. He never wanted to feel that again.

"Fucking bitch!" He wiped his mouth to free it of his own fluids, but only smeared it with a mixture of soot and igneous rock.

The angel cocked her head to the side with an amused look upon her visage as she studied her foe. "Still not smiling?"

"Go", Retane muttered under his breath. A dark mist had already been stirring near him as the Mark of Lythia had activated. With the skies darkened from the ash smoldering air, it was almost unnoticeable until the mist took the shape of a running form. It quickly gave way to Arith who donned a white shirt atop of his golden armor.

"Rangajew, I choose you!" The Lythian warrior cackled as he jumped up, catching Jibril off guard. She threw her arms up to deflect the attack, but it never came, at least not how she expected. Arith's one boot landed upon her shoulder, while his other lightly caressed the back of her head and neck. With all the might and pressure, he could muster beneath himself, the Golden Warrior shoved off. "Thanks for the lift!"

The winged woman stumbled forward, each step another step slightly down hill and closer to her foe, who stood upright. She saw this, and tried to backstep, but her momentum was too great to stop in time.

The Reaper looked on from beneath his cowl, a menacing stare etched on his face, as she neared his range. With his free hand he loosed an orb of energy at her feet, making it even hard for her to gain her footing. His other hand wielded his scythe, and as she went past him he swung upward, the curved blade digging deep into her thigh. He let out a growl as he swung around to face her. She had managed to get just enough footing to take to the air and avoid being disemboweled.

"Look at me," Arith called from above. "I'm a Pokemon!" Victor Wolfe and Harley Quinn both paused mid swing to obey the command and looked up at the call.

The two looked at each other, confused and spoke simultaneously, "Friend of yours?"

"I only met him once," The Babylonian shrugged and leapt back. Quinn shrugged and turned back to the inbound warrior only to realize it was a moment too late.

"Arith, use Hyper Beam!" As the Lythian came down he opened an extended a hand fired off an energy blast, straight into the face of curious woman. She fell back taking the hit full on. As the armored warrior touched ground he stared at his hand, almost in bewilderment. He glanced at Wolfe who seemed confused and intrigued as well. "Holy shit," Arith exclaimed. "It fucking worked!"

Before Victor could even respond, the masked Lythian started to do a little shimmy, getting into what could only be assumed to be a rhythm. They both turned to Harley, who was quickly back to her feet. Arith waved at her to get her attention, then spun around in a circle as he hummed under his mask. He pointed at his shirt as he swayed his hips, his foot and tapping in synch with the nodding of his head. Harley glanced at the shirt and slowly read the words. "Who-the-fuck-is-Makoto?"

"Exactly!" Arith pointed at her and used his body to in a waving motion to keep her attention. His humming got higher and he finally let the words in his head flow. "I'll hit 'em high, hit 'em high, hit 'em high. As long as you hit 'em low, hit 'em low, hit 'em low!"

Harley seemed as if she was going to start getting into the groove before she realized the words. By then it was too late. One of Victor's daggers went for her leg, while the Golden Warrior’s Brave Sword tried to sever her head. She used her bat to parry Arith's attack, sending him into a spray of dark mist with a single swing.

Off in the air, the Reaper swung his scythe downward. The angel used her own to sweep the strike wide, allowing Retane to use the momentum and bring the strike full circle. The winged foe brought her staffed section up to block. The crook of the Reaper’s blade dug into her back, tearing at her flesh as they struggled. Retane sneered beneath his hood with a vile grin. His foe only had two options left. His scythe could dig deeper, or she could push him off and rip it out. Both were fine with him,
