Tag'run is a disgraced troll priest hailing from the Frozen Fields.
Once a shaman of great repute in the villages around Zul'gurand, Tag'run (or just 'Tag' as he's often called) would travel from settlement to settlement, carving a spiritual path for the various troll inhabitants of the fields. A trusted disciple and student of some of the most reputable shamans in the main city, Tag was chosen for an elite squad of spiritual ambassadors - along with a contingency of warriors to protect them - to travel to the recently discovered historical landmark Zul'drak, tasked with investigating the magical nature of the place.
Upon arriving, Tag found himself separated from the group, growing steadily more connected to a presence that haunted the ruins - or, at least, had followed Tag there. This spirit led him away from his fellow shamans and warriors, and eventually, they abandoned him for dead deep within the ruins. Months later he emerged, rattling on about his experiences conversing with a spirit of Peace, and reappeared in Zul'gurand stumping for a pacifist complete ceasefire with the dwarfs of Dwarveholm.
His demagoguery would not be tolerated for long, and eventually, the schizophrenic shaman was banished from the troll settlements. He traversed the frozen sea and eventually made his way to the Tangled Green, where he's lived as a hermit for several months now, only the spirit of Peace to keep him company.
He carries with him a small shard of sapphire, worn as a necklace around his neck, that he found within the ruins of Zul'Drak; he also possesses a book of recipes for handy potions.
