The King looked in amusement as his pet began to unleash her fury upon the collected beast. He took a step back, like she had suggested and a sly grin began to form on his face. His pet's brow was furrowed as she concentrated on the red, shaky ball between her brows began to quell with power. His grin darkened, his eyes filled with limitless opportunities as he watched his pet unleash her fury upon the Scarab. A red beam flew out of her horns impacting the unsuspected monster causing the Scarab to deform and many of the brown bugs that had built it were now scorched and burnt alive.
"See King?! I did it, I am so powerful! Aren't you proud of me?" His little pet exclaimed as the falling mess of green monsters fell on the floor into disordered shambles. The smile on her face showed she was eager to make her King happy. Gilgamesh patted his Lion's head and smiled as he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye and his smile had gone away. His pet followed his eyes and noticed that the Scarab monster was not yet dead, it was reforming, tossing away the dead bodies that were now useless to it. It was slightly shorter now but it was still standing, and it looked pissed off.
His pet looked at the abomination, "I am so sorry King, I will take care of it right away!" The same red ball appeared between her horns again and her brow furrowed. The Scarab was closing in on them and Gilgamesh could get a better look at the beast now. The brown things were actual scarabs, the one's that those pesky egyptians had an affinity for. However, they seemed to clump together and form a larger insect. It's head was the shape of a human, however it had clamp jaws that could grab a person. It's torso had four spider-like limbs and it seemed to roll over the scarabs it had, having no distinct feet.
The red beam flew out again, aiming directly for the chest of the beast, however the beasts chest opened up allowing for the beam to pass through. It began to close in faster and the King's pet stood there confused about what had just happened. She panicked and another red orb began to form between her horns, but yielded to the same result.
Gilgamesh opened up the Golden Portal behind him and he grabbed the two swords. The gold handles shimmering in the sunlight and Gilgamesh frowned. His brows furrowed as his pet furrowed her brow.
"You dare step into my Kingdom! AND TARNISH MY CAPITAL! Your body shall not litter the ground that I walk upon." His eyes flared up as if he were delusional. His aspirations to build his Kingdom here had altered his mind and made him think too highly of this poor town. He knew he would change this into a luxurious town where it would suit his tastes and would bless those that were wise enough to join him. A grimace on his face formed as he charged towards the beast. The mere sight of the abomination disgusted and angered him, NOTHING would stop him! Not this beast, not the 'king', not even his pet could stop him now. They were all pawns on his chessboard and HE WOULD NOT LOSE! Not now.
He walked over his gold armor materializing onto his body, his swords in hand. The cold steel reflecting his iron will as he walked over to the disgusting creature that tainted his future city. The monster had no change in it's face, its constantly moving parts forever faceless. It closed in on the two and his pet tried to get the thing but it was to close to her King. She felt helpless as her King began to deal with the mess.
The King noticed as one of the four blades swung at Gilgamesh as he blocked the blade. The monster's blade feel apart and many of the insects flew out in Gilgamesh's direction falling upon his armor. The King jumped in disgust and his face became livid as he wiped off the insects that tainted his armor.
"You disgusting filth! You shall not longer taint my land." He said as he dug his blade deep into the chest of the beast. The monster's flesh swallowed his blade, taking it from his hand and seeming to absorb it. The blade seemed to flow through the beast and the four blades had formed into two humanoid hands, one of which grabbed onto it's new weapon.
"You dare steal my treasures? Let us see how far your thievery gets you." His crimson eyes flared with disgust as he swung his sword, clashing with the beast's futile attempts to learn swordsmanship. The beast blocked in time, however Gilgamesh managed to land a blow straight to the creatures neck cleaving some of the brown abominations that made up the beast. A flash of Gold streaked through the monsters head and Gilgamesh would not press down. Another clang, another slash, another clang, another slash, another clang. The same flash of gold appeared over and over again.
His grimace turned into a stressful smile, his effort leaving a sweat on his brow. A piercing scream came from the things mouth and Gilgamesh flinched. His eyes opened as a stream of monsters flew out and hit him square in the chest leaving him flat on the ground with a sea of Scarabs crawling over him. He scrambled to get up and that's where he saw it. A Golden Scarab was crawling and the entire thing was reforming again. He brought down his sword cutting some of the monsters and a leg off of the Golden one. The entire floor below him screeched as the mass screamed in pain. It scattered over the floor in a panic reassembling into the creature. The thing seemed to bleed Scarabs…constantly. Gilgamesh smiled, So this was how it was going to be.
The creature let out another high pitch squeal as it swung more blades at it in the flurry. The King was forced to go on the defensive. The monster didn't let up it continued to swing at Gilgamesh and a fist of scarabs came at Gilgamesh and knocked him to the ground. The monster brought up a blade and began to swing down it's descent onto Gilgamesh however it stopped short of it's destination. A red beam comes and hits the beast in the face tearing it apart disassembling into the pool of Scarabs. Gilgamesh took a knee and spotted the golden, limping Scarab in the mass of brown. He stood up and put his heel behind the Scarab and a loud squeal emanated from the flood as the King rolled his foot and crushed the King Of Scarabs. The Golden Beetle splattered onto his golden boot and the brown Scarabs futilely attempted to save their King before they all crumbled and died. Much like Gilgamesh. If he dies, everything goes to shit.
He gave a disgusted look towards the corpses beneath him as he carefully stepped over the large number of courses he saw his pet gleaming, proud of her contribution. He walked over and petted her for a moment and glanced at the house that the beetles scurried out of.
"See King Gilgamesh I am useful." His pet exclaimed behind him jumping for joy. Gilgamesh waved for his pet to come and she walked up next to Gilgamesh looking at him weirdly for his fixation on the broken house.
"Is there something wrong King?" A Golden Portal was her response opening up for Gilgamesh's weapons. His weapons flew out, demolishing the house, not stopping until there was nothing but splinters on the ground. A sly grin came on his face and Eudocia gave him a questioning look. The open space was perfect, and his servants came close to the King examining if he had any wounds or not.
"My Pet, come here, lend me some of your Omnilium." He sat on the floor, closed his eyes the Rainbow orb flew through him and into his hand. He attempted to summon his palace again but he felt the burden feel easier.
"My King how long do we have to do this…" His pet whined. He opened one of his eyes and saw her sitting beside him with a bored look on her face. Curiosity and boredom were shown on her face and she let out a sigh.
"I am not sure my pet, but just keep on it. It shall be a worthy reward." They sat there for hours and he boredom flashed up and kept annoying Gilgamesh but he persisted that they continued. This time it was much easier and no backlash came from it. He smiled and he felt the Omnilium disappear from his hand and he opened his eyes. He saw his servants smirking as his pet's jaw dropped wide open. The Marble Palace that was so familiar with the Babylonians had left the Lion impressed.
"Welcome my pet, welcome to my Palace." The King grinned, sighing in fond reminiscence.
