“Ka… Me...”
Ash’s tail flicked and the transparent blue screen appeared across her eyes, a series of numbers in the corner of her screen began to race rapidly towards infinity, the individual numbers blurred into what looked like an error message, occasionally zeros could be seen briefly before illegible nothing took its place.
“Ha…”
A smile split her face again in pure glee. She lowered her body for speed.
“Me…”
Ash - The Storm Demon - thrust herself forward to attack.
“HA!!”
A streak of blue flew across the battle arena and met the morality mirrored humanoid straight on. Upon impact the energy pushed her feather-light form back several meters as whatever was preventing the attack from instantly destroying her decomposed; Eventually, the ki engulfed her entirely as intended.
From inside the pillar of power, the audience could see a vague demoness shape become smaller and smaller until Ash was reduced to particles before they were also consumed by it. A scream erupted from inside, before abruptly ending.
The blue light continued to streak across the battlefield and further until the energy was expended from Cell’s charge. In the Kamehameha Wave’s wake were scorched and battle worn tiles as well, a semi-circle melted into the wall that outlined the arena.
Silenced consumed the immediate area, Jak barely into his half of the fight lowered his weapon and turned to see what the noise had been. He was concerned why it sounded like Ash. As he did he found his partner reduced to nothing more than a memory.
It smacked him like a purse full of bricks.
The Dark King heard the lock on his cage break open as Jak grabbed the edges of his head, the Eco-Warrior roared out in rage, losing his composure very quickly. His mind flashing back to Coruscant where he’d lost everything he'd worked for.
Cell just laughed, calmly at first, only for it to belt out of his chest in victorious barks as he relished in both the easy defeat and the pain he caused her partner. “One down… One to go.” He said, floating closer towards the armored elf.
To everyone’s surprise - or maybe not - Ricter stepped forward and spoke first. “What did you do that for!?” His voice was clear and emotional, his face was twisted with rage that only an evil presence could bring to him. “You didn’t have to-”
Cell stopped short, staring his partner down with his own annoyed look. “Didn’t have to what? Eliminate her? This is a competition, not a play date! Did you want to make friends with these weaklings, or did you want to win!?”
The anthropomorphic weasel bit back his bitter responses, knowing the green creature was right but couldn’t help but feel guilt and remorse for the demoness. He thought for a few seconds about whether this was the place for him or not, and how he may be able to avoid any more death.
The sword in his hands now felt much heavier to lift, but he forced it up in the air and took position to fight despite his desire to do so burning out since the gong. He looked into Jak’s eyes, they burned and bore into his soul…
He was only allowed one step. As he did he felt something brush along his back. This was followed up by a flurry of attacks, a blow landed between his shoulders, a solid jab against the kidney and a finishing strike hammered right where the spleen is located. The force and the speed of the blows knocked the wind out of the B.D.F. but what damage done internally seemed minimized. Blood poured into his coat and spread throughout his fur. He felt his balance tip and then another push from behind, which felt like a boot to his ass before he crashed chin first into the stage.
Cell saw her for a fraction of a second, blowing him a kiss. Doing so fractured the mask of cool on his face before he acted. His volleyball sized lavender ball shot forth, past his fallen enemy towards the ghost which already has vanished. He hoped to quickly undo the ogre’s magic but only succeeded in breaking apart the tiles where she’d stood.
Cell then heard her imp-like giggle...
She dared...
To LAUGH!
AT HIM?!
Remembering her level of speed kicked him into action faster. He relaunched another ki blast, and again as he tried to gun down the phantom he'd obviously created.
Little did he know she already had the upper hand. To Ash, his blasts were dodgeballs in a cheap high school gym and she had all the time in the world to analyze her path between them. The real question, however, was what would she do when she got to him? She would have shrugged if there wasn’t a glowing orb about to detonate against her face. She dodged it by ducking low and inching closer to Cell. She flipped over another one, feeling the heat of it against her bare back as she did.
