Edelith temporarily dropped her prize, letting the jaw fall slack and sway lopsidedly towards the ground. She shook her gloved hand, dusting off the fragments of rock and sending about a fine spray of dust.
"Hmmm..." She tapped her chin loosely, the glow of flames gone from all but her softening amber eyes. "I don't know. Have you?" she raised an eyebrow quizzically, driving in her statement. She could almost hear the cogs in his mind turning as her answer only brought about more questions. "Or, better yet, does it matter? You're alive now, aren't you?"
