(Preshow) Preshow Facility
#84
Things were going to start soon by the looks of the time on the wall, he was still in the main hall area and knew full well that eventually everything would kick off with a bang in the coming few hours. He didn’t know what to feel about this, should he feel nervous about having to fight for essentially his life, or should he feel somewhat grateful for being able to participate in such a grand event. It was all a mix of emotions that made him feel antsy, almost anxious to get things started as he paced around in the main hall for a little bit but got the feeling he wouldn’t be able to see his partner till the whole thing would begin to start. Hopefully he would make it for the matches, if not he would probably just hope for the best, or the facilities manager would probably step in and dictate what would happen next.

Looking around more people would begin to pour in, mostly near the teleportres as he noticed a boy with a bucket rush by, aiding someone else as he didn’t know who this person was nor whom they wished to affiliate themselves with but he would pay little mind unless their attention went back to himself. Turning his eyes back to the board as the listings flashed by and showed a big grand scale of how the tournament would go he would rub his chin. So win or lose they gave you a chance to come back to the top of the latter, which only meant the stronger of primes would probably be meeting one another again at the finals, which is ‘fair’ but at the same time kinda annoying. There was no limiting of powers, nor skills that were banned, hell for all he knew this Ash and Jak pairing could very well melt his brain into mush just from him looking at them.

All he could hope for, all he could ask for really, is too maybe face someone who wasn’t out for blood like it seemed most of the competitors were. So when he sees someone given the name ‘Ash the Storm Demon’ as a title he could only guess that was going to be the case, but who knows, they could be a nice storm demon. Jak Mar on the other hand was not someone he knew personally, which went for about 95% of the people here, and he didn’t know what he could do either. Sure the shoe was on the same foot for them, they probably didn’t know what he could do but he was in a very large information pit since he had no idea about anyone, not even his partner who seemed to not be around, or at least not in the place he expected them to be in which was the main hall.

Pacing around some more he would look back down the hall towards the multiple entrances and exits to where he could go, he could go looking for them, maybe see if they were in any other part of the facility, but it would be an annoying venture to go and do that but turn up with nothing at all. But it was worth a shot, maybe cell was just relaxing in the barracks, or at the library, which he was just at but he didn’t bother to check inside as he was so enamoured by the prospect of seeing who would fight who that he just had to come over here in an hurry and look through all the lists and matches that could be had. For someone that didn’t enjoy fighting in this type of manner he was clearly excited for it, mostly because he wanted good fights with people, not ones that would be murder fests with one another.

Even now as he was thinking about it his mind went back to Marisa, she seemed like a sweet human girl or woman, he didn’t bother asking her about her age, but even as she explained to him about her home town she seemed pleasant to be around. He’d smile as he walked down the halls, maybe he’d get to fight her? If so he would try to have fun with it, since on mention of her Danmaku fights he knew they probably enjoyed doing that sorda thing for every small dispute and large one, maybe it was even fun for them which was why she was here. Even if they didn’t’ fight he’d hope that she would at the very least survive and be able to leave the tournament with out any harm or major injury, if anything he’d come by and heal her if she was maimed by some asshole trying to prove a point. Now he wished he had gotten her contact information, not to call or bug her repeatedly, more so to just have some extra friends around here.

You never really know who could be nice to have on your side, but for him he was more so thinking that it would be great to have some friends who were primes in this world, after all he just got here around a week ago. He was still very new and as he came back to the library to look around he would find nothing, but he did notice his books on the table still, still unread and closed, he’d take out his phone though and begin to scan the pages. Snapping pictures of what he could as he needed information on something, the underverse, a place he was warned about on many occasion, however he was scared for the sake of what could be a location you could never return from. Where monsters and demons had full control and living there would equate a literal living hell. Few have came back from there by the looks of it, and from glancing over a few pages he could see that they had a very horrid ‘death economy’ to put it lightly.

Once he finished the book he would pick it up and place it back into the shelf for someone else to use, he got the jist of it, don’t be an asshole and you wont get banished, or just don’t get banished lest you wana be some demon’s slave or next meal. With his search coming up empty he would leave the library before he’d look towards maybe going to the barracks, he hadn't gone there yet, so he would head over. It was as plain as you could guess, at least for him, a place where you can sit down and drink while having rooms for everyone to sleep in, it was nice from a funding standpoint but he rather not sleep in any of the rooms if they haven’t been changed or cleaned given passing by a few males they smelled like a public locker room. But alas he wouldn’t find anyone here either, which annoyed him, the time was clicking down and they would be going at it soon, maybe they had more time to prepare but by the looks of it that wasn’t the case. So instead of stressing out he’d simply kick up a seat and relax, maybe even catch some sheep as he dozed off.
