The power of the ring was channeled outwards by Jack. At first he pressed the ring close to his chest, focusing the energies of will into it. As the ring was filled with the energies, Jack thought of how he was going to do this. Perhaps what Arcee needed was a demonstration that the ring was perfectly safe for him to use, and so he dissipated the blaster construct that he had made. A construct was not the right option in order to demonstrate the natural talent he had with the Oan Power Ring. While this was nowhere as good as the Green Lantern Ring he had once been able to wield because it had functioned, Jack knew it was going to have to do. The ring was a tool, and like any tool, someone could use it. Eventually however he planned on replacing it with an actual Green Lantern Ring - not the pale imitation he now was forced to use. The ring was unstable and would eventually explode, or something of that nature, Jack knew it. It was best if he created a Green Lantern Ring soon. Yet, for now he could not let Arcee know that he didn't want to wield the ring. Faking what he hoped was a convincing smile, Jack released an Unstable Emerald Blast Wave nearby, once he had gotten to a safe distance from Arcee. There was no sense in hurting his partner.
When she witnessed the blast wave, Arcee noticed how long it had taken Jack. "You'll need to get faster, partner. If Megatron is in the Omniverse, you will have to be ready to face him head on, and even with your admittedly powerful arsenal, I know you're nowhere near ready yet in order to take him on directly." She was right, sadly enough. Jack was not capable of battling Megatron. Had he a proper Green Lantern Ring he would have considered doing so. Had he the proper training he would be more willing to put his life on the line. Yet, Jack had never had any form of training with the Power Ring he had received when Knock Out had thrown him off a cliff. The same also proved true of the power ring that he wielded now. Jack had no experience in operating the ring. Said thing needed to change if he was to ever be ready to confront the Omniverse at large. Right now he didn't even know how to access the internet here.
"Alright. It's clear I need basic training Arcee."
