Limits of Skill
#3
All the while seeing this Dr. Sorrel would shake her head, “Oh well, guess he tried his best, though he should come back soon, I just hope are no hard feelings about this.” Which the doctors would begin to exchange their bribes and bets with one another, thinking the weasel had died. Though as the treent would wail again the wailing would die down, slowly they would fall down and sit on their back side. The screams stopping, leaving only a silent treent that would simply be staying there as his body began to bloom and become greener, flowers of violet lilies would begin to sprout, roses of a vibrant red, and many other beautiful flowers would begin to form on his body. So much so it was covered in the amazing bloom of flora, leaving them in a moss covered flower pile as the doctors watched on in awe at what was happening to the treent. They wondered if they were dying, the body finally giving up and reforming into a large bush of plant matter, but as they would open the door and quickly make their way inside they would watch on and wait as the pile of moss and flowers began to collapse.

Spores would begin to flutter out of the room, heading through the vents and into the outside world, from the clinic anyone could see the amount of plant spores traveling into the open air and going to the near by forest. It was a green fog mixed with flowers that danced along the wind, and although people were working around this time it made many people who were walking around or going about their business look up and watch the show. Eventually the pile of moss and flowers would begin to become small, the heaviest of it all staying in a small pile on the floor, but from the pile something would begin to move, then shift around before finally Ricter would be seen pulling himself out of the moss and flowers, getting up with a red lilly on his head as he stared back at the 5 other doctors in the room and then sneezed as he was a tad allergic to pollen being up his nose. “What did you do? You killed him!” Sorrel would say, getting annoyed even after the amazing display of beauty, but clearly the treent was gone.

“Uh actually I didn’t…” Ricter would give a rebuttal as he would reach down into the pile, picking up what seemed to be a large seed, but it had little roots for feet and even a face too, it was similar to a blooming flower bud, with little beady eyes the seed would look at everyone and give a broken smile. Wiggling around in his arm as Ricter finally sheathed his sword, “I think Mr. Goru just turned himself back into a seed.” Which even Sorrel couldn’t help but think this was the case too, still contemplating the negative aspects of this but it seemed like this was something both Goru and Ricter caused which drove her to a sigh. “Fine, I guess this constitutes you completing what I asked Mr. Casenger, and see? You didn’t die, don’t you feel so silly for not believing in your capabilities as much as I did, hm?” She’d say with a bit of smugness in her tone as she adjusted her glasses with one of her ribbons. However Ricters would respond in his own way to her smug mention comments, finding them to be just about as annoying as you could guess.

“So that whole betting thing was just a joke then?…” Which would draw droplets of sweat form the staff, who’d simply begin to rubbed their heads and or begin to try and sneak away, all but Dr. Sorrel who explained. “O-of course! We wouldn’t dare bet on the life of a fellow colleague!” Her statement only justified by the amount of cash in her pockets right now, which was probably fairly stacked. But instead of believing her, Ricter would opt to draw his sword and stab her directly through the head and out the other end. Of course anyone familiar with his powers knew that his sword did no damage like this but as she saw the blade spear through her head she could ‘feel’ it inside of her, and if anything, the sensation along made her reel back and shiver, rolling on the ground as she held her face with her paws and ribbons. Whining as if she stubbed her shin on an end table, “Dr. Sorrel, you know your not hurt, right?…”

“I know! But it just feels so weird, I can still feel it inside of my head! I hate it, I hate it so much!” The sylveon would complain as the little seed in Ricters arms would giggle, liking how she was in so much distress, which even draw a soft smile from the weasel now while the sylveon would eventually get over the sensation of having a sword shoved in you but feeling no pain. Getting up now as the intercoms went off, calling for aid from the doctors who seemed to enjoy having their little pow wow they would give Ricter a hand shake, or in some cases a simple nod if they didn’t have the hands to offer before leaving. All but Dr. Sorrel would leave as they would walk with one another, leaving the operation room and putting back on her veil of professionalism, “Erm, very good Doctor Casenger, it would be an understatement to say that I’m proud of you, but your job isn’t done yet, you still have more to deal with.” She’d say, hinting at more tests which poked at Ricter the wrong way.

“What? More tests? I thought I was done…” He’d give a soft groan, but she would correct that soon enough, “No no, the tests now are going to be of your own will, as for me I have none to give you that you can’t handle already. At least, as you currently are. Any case, Mr. Goru seems to have been changed into an infant like state, he is an elder treent and should be taken care of, we’ll keep him in the nursery till we can find more of his kind to maybe takes him in.” She’d remark as the little seed, being about the size of a volley ball, would climb on Ricters head, enjoying the new seating arrangements as they seemed to give happy noises of triumph at scaling Mt. Weasel. The walk to the nursery ward of the clinic was short, they would pass a few rooms and maybe cut down a hall way before they walked in. Eventually finding a room filled with babies, babies of different species and shapes. From pokemon eggs, to human like children, elves, even small litters of bunnies, kits, and other creatures over all filling a large room about twenty meters in every direction.

The day care here was one of the biggest in this city, if not better than that day care couple not too far on the other side of town, but as he would place the little seed down into one of the beds they would look sad and reach out, only for him to pet and give him some water to drink in a bottle. Nursing them to sleep, “Its okay little guy, get some rest please.” Which with his soothing voice they would be out like a light soon enough as Dr. Sorrel tended to incubating the eggs here with him, “Dr. Sorrel?” Ricter whispered as her ears perked up, looking at him as they both worked, “You said I’ve have test of my will, what did you mean by that?” He seemed confused, although he had been in his won world for decades he still had a fairy innocent mind, at least enough to not understand when someone was using some kind of riddle biased question for an answer on him. Man did he hate vague riddles. “As I said, you’ll find out, but don’t worry, when its all over I’ll be there for you.” Which made him raise a brow at her statement, it was off putting but he wouldn’t say any more as they tended to the children, or at least in moving eggs and ensuring they were all tended as this was typically a nurses job but both himself and Dr. Sorrel enjoyed kids too much to not do this sorda thing.
