A Pain in the Neck

Damn it.

This guy was smarter than he anticipated. Though that probably had to do with the split second he had to think of an alias, he wasn't exactly subtle about what he was doing. Either way, the guy knew Velgr was a fake name...or at least, mostly fake name.

Speaking in a normal tone of voice that didn't leave any hint of his brief surprise, he added to the conversation. "Whatever. I mainly work as an information broker and mercenary. Not exactly picky about my clients. I'd speak with you more, but I've gotta go collect my pay..."

He tore a manticore spine out of a nearby and pocketed it, then adding "...and probably get another job. So I guess I'll see ya around, Inlumia...unless you've got something for me to do. Otherwise, I'm heading off." Alain tossed him one of the spines before he started walking away, stopping and giving "Lumia" a glance before he got out of earshot.
