Move Creation Workshop
(05-11-2018, 01:52 PM)Warren Zimmer Wrote: Here are some more moves I'm working on for an NPC Prime.
Repaying the Boss (300, Insight, Mimic, Buff.):

Jason is capable of transferring any moves that he has seen and replicated to Warren, should Warren spend the requisite OM to purchase the move permanently. Otherwise, he is capable of sharing a temporary copy of the move to Warren. This makes him sick, and could cause him to die if he pushes the ability too hard. In addition he can only transfer 2 moves that he has mimicked. This also allows him to keep any moves he has mimicked as long as the person he has mimicked the move from is within his general vicinity, IE in the same verse as him. This takes him 12 seconds. This also allows him to loan Proficiencies of his own to Warren, should he need to do so, or powers.

Hand Guns (600, Ranged Proficiency, Physical Strength):

A set of hand guns that was made by Warren Zimmer for Jason. These pistols have unlimited ammunition, but relatively low attack power because of the unlimited ammunition. The pistols can be used to pistol whip an opponent, or to shoot them. The pistols take him about 5 seconds to materialize and put to use. The pistols can also be recalled to his hands should he lose access to them.
Repaying the Boss: I suggest you use the spoilered move below as a basis for what drawbacks I'd expect. Just copy paste them over and write up the rest in your own words. It was one of All Might's NPC's moves, but he's not active anymore so I guess you can rip it off (the only version I have on hand is Serraph's version of it though). Also, this sounds like you're using an NPC purely for your character's benefit. NPCs are for writing your story. They're not a character to create to artificially increase your character's strength.
All For One - 300 OM - Buff, Mimic

Serraph may "teach" a single move he knows to someone else via three seconds of physical contact. This includes any move he has learned from Mimic. Anyone he teaches will only have access to the move for a half-hour in character. If the hour-limit on a Mimicked move runs out, anyone he has taught the copied move will also no longer be able to use it.

If the person he is teaching doesn't have the required proficiency or powers to learn the move, they will temporarily gain them in relation to the move, and the move alone. If he teaches a move that requires "Flight" they will be able to fly only when actively using the taught move. He can only give one move per person. If someone is already using a move that was given to them by All For One, and Serraph uses All For One on them again, the first move will be erased from that person and replaced with the new move.

It is only really comfortable or safe to use All For One once every half-hour, but he is able to use it more often than that. When he performs All For One, he feels sick. Performing it in rapid succession will have the effect of making this feeling of sickness increase, after five uses within ten minutes, he will become dizzy and unable to walk. If he uses it ten times within ten minutes he will become physically ill, prone to spitting up blood, and intensely dizzy, unable to move. Using it twenty times within ten minutes will cause him to lose consciousness for at least eight hours, or if already wounded, die.
Hand Guns: How long do they take to recall?
Energy Wazikashi (300, Physical Strength):

After visiting the Sulaco and learning of the existence of the Dark Saber, the Energy Wazikashi was an attempt by Warren Zimmer to replicate it but without need for the Force, or any other abilities of that nature. The sword has an 18 inch blade. The sword is purple, and gray in color. It's blade is made out of energy and can clash with most lightsabers or other similar swords.

Cyberblade Virus (300, Physical Strength):

The Cyberblade Virus was made after his visit to the Sulaco. The blade has an 18 inch long blade. Like the Energy Wazikashi this has a blade of energy. Ideally this is made for dual wielding with the Energy Wazikashi so that Warren can doubly attack his opponents. Manifesting the weapon takes about seven seconds for Warren to do so. The Cyberblade Virus is one that Warren can also use single handedly.

Great Sword Glitch (300,  Physical Strength):

The third of the blades modeled after the Dark Saber when he left the Sucalo. While this may share many of the properties of a Lightsaber, this is not in all actuality one because it does not possess the powers a Lightsaber would when used by someone who has the Force. This sword may be able to clash with some blades, but against a truly skilled warrior this would be useless. Has a 30 inch blade, and a heavy handle. The blade is colored purple and is made out of energy like the others.

Blade Circle (300, Physical Strength):

Blade Circle is an attack Warren can do when he has either sword in hand, or a melee weapon. This is a spinning attack he can do that will damage opponents who get within 4-10 feet of him with either blade. This is moderately powerful, and cannot be used with other moves. It can be interrupted to use other moves however. Blade Circle is a spinning attack that lasts for 7 seconds, and has a 10 second cool down.

Parry (300, Area Defense):

Parry is a move that takes Warren about 2 seconds to activate. When activated he can negate one non-super move of the same Tier as he is, provided he is able to successfully know what the move is, and see it coming. This makes him unable to use Blade Circle, or either sword for 10 seconds.

Code: Cancel (300, Area Defense, Debuff.):

Code: Cancel is an app that Warren can run via his NFL-R. For 15 feet around him, this nullifies any energies other than those of weapons like blasters or guns, or swords. What this means is that a person throwing fireballs, or lightning, or ice at him? The move would instantly be negated. Lasts 10 seconds, requires both hands, can't be used with other moves, can't be used while moving. Using any moves interrupts this. Takes 15 seconds to charge up Code: Cancel.
Energy Wazikashi/Cyberblade Virus: These are literally the same move. Just get one move that's called "Energy Wazikashi and Cyberblade Virus" for 300 OM that gives you both swords as weapons, since they're identical outside of cosmetics.

Great Sword Glitch: This is fine.

Blade Circle: You'll need to be more specific. Does Warren spin around? Run in a circle? Spin his swords around? It's not clear.

Parry/Cancel: No. You can't just "nullify" attacks. You can make a shield to block them or try to physically parry or avoid them. But you need a description. You need a how. How does Warren block/avoid the attacks in these moves? I suggest you look at some other shield moves.

For a maximum of 30 seconds, Jak in his Light form is able to freeze a enemy in place by appearing to clap his hands above his head, allowing him safe passage while his enemy is slowed down temporarily.

Do you just want to freeze one enemy? Sure. Something like this would work:

Quote:T1SU - Flash Freeze - Light Jak (600 OM) (Debuff, Ranged, Homing)

Jak in his Light form is able to freeze a enemy in place by focusing on them for a couple of seconds, then appearing to clap his hands above his head, allowing him safe passage while his enemy is stopped temporarily. This effect lasts 40 seconds. A frozen enemy cannot be targetted or harmed by any means. This can be blocked by a T1 super defence.

Note that choosing to restrict this move to when you're using a specific powerup won't make it stronger in any way.
